What will they add to Forest, just another two old players on last contracts?
That is not building the club for the future, it is only going to impact us more on FFP as neither are investments (no sell on value) and will probably mean selling off more of our younger players to pay for the bad recruitment mistakes the club are continually making.
To rub salt in the wounds to say, Bournemouth will let Gosling leave, so they can bring in Ben Pearson from Preston is simply crazy as all we are doing is helping another team offload their deadwood, so they can bring in a better player, that can’t be right.
We should be going for Ben Pearson ourselves if we ever want to be fighting for Promotion.
How will older Players like that help Forest when they can’t even get into the Watford of Bournemouth sides this year?
If these are players Chris Hughton is demanding, then perhaps he isn’t the right manager for Nottingham Forest, he certainly isn’t getting the best out of the players he currently has.
What is the Clubs Transfer Strategy?
There doesn’t seem to have one, therefore is it any wonder we are heading to League One. We need ambition and passion from the owners, we need to actually hear from there (all we get is silence) and we need to be excited about the future and believe we are in good hands. At the moment that couldn’t be further from the truth. Signing more players at the very end of the career will not change supporters’ minds.
This could turn out to be another disastrous transfer window.
Well for starters Bournemouth and Watford are better teams than us so thats why they can't get into those sides.
Secondly, this is all wild speculation and you're making a number of pretty big assumptions including that these are permanent contracts and also that they are large contracts.
In the same way we've struggled to get rid of players other clubs will have the same issues. We won't just take on big contracts, if anything these are likely to be short term deals to allow the players a chance to earn a bigger deal from someone in the summer by playing more regularly.
We're not in for Pearson because both Bournemouth and Preston are better teams than us. Why would he choose to come here?
This feels like a continuation of the strategy from the summer to target players with specific championship experience which up until the summer was what most wanted.
Maybe judge at the end of the window rather than complaining because we're not trying to sign a rival's best player
Dan has played 15+ games for Bournemouth this season and even scored a couple of goals so he has definitely been in and around the team so maybe smart to do a quick search before posting
We have signed Mbe Soh (19 years), McKenna (23), Blackett (26), Iannou (24) and loaned Christie (27), Cafu (27), Knockaert (28), Freeman (28) and Krovinovic (25) and then we have brought in 4 players that were 30 years (Colback, Arter, Taylor and Guerrero). Looks pretty balanced to me and on paper good quality as well.
So how are we doing then?
Everyone is entitled to my opinion - COYR :)
