Nottingham Forest - Coventry City

I can't bring myself to pay to see us get beat by Coventry tonight. I'm far to emotional after approving the forest badge engraved on sons tombstone. So they better bloody win now!!!

coincidentally, tonight playing Coventry, I used to travel to most games in the 90's with my Dad, who lived in Coventry, so it was always a more significant game as my dad tended to be very prominent in his local boozer in the Red against a back drop of Sky Blue everywhere

After every game, home or away, usually, particularly after night games, involved a rather mad dash to get last orders back in Coventry, win, draw and towards the end of the 90's often lose, it didn't matter as long as we made last orders

though obviously the game at Highfield Road made things so much simpler, i remember a Paul Hart team featuring Stern John i think who got a red, batter Cov 0.0, lovely summer evening, great game, the last match i went to Highfield Road with me Dad

My dad is resting in a cemetary in Coventry, proudly displaying the Forest emblem on his grave stone, and as far as i know the only Forest fan in that particular vicinity

so .. a great night to get a decent thumping first win a for my Dad
