I thought at first this is why he'd been left out but then I read he'd signed an extension to his contract till the end of the season. So if he's been prepared to do that then he must be prepared to play again (a lot of out of contract players aren't). And, I can 't see Sabri overlooking him due to a contract dispute. He idolises him.

My theory is that it's all innocent and he just needs a couple more weeks than the youngsters do to get fit.

Hope you are right Pap and it's nothing more sinister. I am on the fence, not sure what to think.

Well the deadline to agree a short term renewal was Tuesday so I guess we should no soon enough whether Watson signed that as minimum.

If he signed it then surely we would have heard about it by now. Or not? Not much coming out from the club at all recently.

The only information we're getting is from Lamouchi's press conferences. I have to say I'd be very surprised if watson hadn't signed it. Doesnt really seem in his nature to not finish the job. Plus on a personal level a potential playoff is surely worth more than the small risk of an injury that affects next season

That's what made me remark that if he was prepared to extend then he wasn't going to be one of these snowflake players refusing to play due to risk of injury.
