Thought he deserved his own thread as he seems to have been aggressively scapegoats so far.

So, rather than people just saying he was terrible I'd be interested to know what he did wrong and what people were expecting?

As far as I could see, his positioning was fine. Charlton rarely attacked down his flank and he looked a threat going forward.

Fully aware he miscontrolled a few and over hit a few passes but so did everyone, conditions were not easy. Sure that backpass was terrible but he had absolutely no support, pretty much only option was to aimlessly boot it forward

Firstly, let's bare in mind that we moved Chema out for this chap. So at the very least he should have been at least as good.

But to me he looked nackard. Like hit's gonna take him at least a couple of months to get up to speed.

Ok so the main issue is just hes not fit enough? Chema wasnt exactly Roberto Carlos, he was a CB playing LB to an ok level.

I agree, Chema was OK not spectacular. Which is why it's crazy that we've used the Jan window to make that position even weaker. Fair enough sell him, but replace with better. Or at least someone who can last more than 45min without blowing out their backsides.

Surely someone can rehash the Sisqo "classic" Thong Song for Bong?!

One of the worst debuts ever seen.

Nice to see we are giving Bong time to settle in and get up to speed (not).

So are we writing this lad off after just 60 minutes in the Garibaldi?

I listed it above but Charlton didnt exactly create loads of chances down his wing. All their attacks came through the other side including the goal.

I thought his positioning was solid and he got forward at the right times. He was very unsupported at times from Diakhaby/the centre mids.

Now aside from a bad backpass in which he had no options aside from hoofing it away due to a lack of support. What else did he do wrong?

It's so important to have a good 1st game.
If you play bad in 1st game, then you are binned forever.
Play well in 1st game and the next few can be shockers.

It wasn't Bong's fault we lost against Charlton. However he wasn't playing well. I think Cash was about to replace Jenkinson, but Bong made a couple of quick fire errors and SL decided to spare him from the crowd.

I hope he can get up to speed and help us with the remaining games this season.
