Nottingham Forest - Luton Town
A win but I’m sorry I wasn’t convinced, I just feel there is something missing, lack of creativity perhaps or an over reliance on Grabban which showed itself today with him hardly being in the game. Don’t slate me, only saying what I think, but I’ll take the 3 points.

Agree ... result materialised more due to how poor Luton played in the second half...

Newcastle often played 'crepe' but went up Champions in their year?

Forest earned the right today after a poor start.  And in the end their quality showed.

Watson was robust today.  A redemptive season.  Sow was pivotal.  Lolley then 'flame on!'  Some good performances in there.

Luton worked hard 1st half but you can only keep that ' 3 on 1 ' thing up for so long and then they collapsed.  The goals taking the wind out of them.

Apparently a signing (according to Radio Notts) is close.

Win Reading and we're 3 points off top.

This is Forest's best chance since Billy MK I.

oh don't be like that, i get back and look forward to seeing pure hysteria and happiness, can't we just ignore some the concerns for a bit, 56% possession, 22 shots, 5 on target, 12 corners, from not getting a kick of the ball for 10 minutes and being a goal down after about 25, let's celebrate bro

All that matters is the result.

Thought Ribeiro and Watson were immense. Silva was very good, the only midfielder who always looked to move us up through the phases of play.

Luton were better first half than I expected. I think they shocked a few on the pitch too. Connick was very good.

We don’t help ourselves though, we give the ball away too cheaply, Dawson the worst for it. We need to learn or better teams will punish us.

Incisive comment.

Great to hear that Rib' and Watson (who is now the player I always thought we'd get from Watson, he's reborn) were immense and that it's being recognised buy Forest fans.  And you're praise for Silva.  A few are noting his 'shifting gears' performance, though unsung, played it's part in at least one of the goals.  Silva (he's the best ACM we have at the moment...) and he seems attuned with the 'predatory press' that The Coach favours.  It requires that 'quick' shifting of gears.  Silva at least has the brain for it and he's adapted to the muck and nettles nature of the Championship reasonably well compared to other imports from abroad.

Luton are no mugs.  They work hard.  They play to their strengths.  And many of their results have been quite tight against Champ' opposition.  This is the kind of game Forest normally lose.

A seminal moment in our season?  It will be IF we beat Reading.  That's shaping up to be the 'bottle it' game.  Should have beaten Reading at their place.  Can we improve on that?

Forest were asleep for the 1st 20 mins.  We can't keep doing that.
