Well, that’s the first time I’ve actually watched the match from start to finish.

There were three stand out players for me: Francis, Anderson and Robertson.

I didn’t realise how good Trevor actually was, he had pace to burn and glided past players.

It wasn't a great game or a great performance.

Infact it was probably the worse game and worse performance from all the games we played in the European Cup that season. I wanted to say that because a lot of our younger fans are probably not aware of it.

I must admit that I quite enjoyed it but Malmo didn't offer much and barely troubled us.

It was a better match than most of the dross I've seen over the last 30 years!

I know!

I’m surprised this thread doesn’t raise more comments really.

Action from the European Cup Quarter Final in 1979, Nottingham Forest - Grasshoppers Zurich. Zurich took the lead but Forest went onto win the match 4-1.

Anderlecht - Nottingham Forest, UEFA Cup Semi Final, 1984.

A horrible night for every Forest fan.

I cannot get my head around the fact that Anderlecht were only banned from Europe for just one season for paying the ref 180,000 (I think that was the amount).

Also the fact that Forest were never compensated. Disgusting.

Nobody outside of Nottingham gave us a chance in Glasgow after a 0-0 draw at the City Ground but both the Forest team and fans went to Scotland with no fear and conquered the Celts.
