I wonder if it is a bit of a generational thing, I was too young to understand rivalries during our glory days, I dont think you ever really get it until you start going to matches and feed off the atmosphere of Derby games and the interaction between the fans. Do younger Forest fans feel the same way about Liverpool? I doubt it and also is the hatred reciprocated? Suspect most Older Liverpool fans actually have a few fond memories of the rivalry, it was their golden era too. Younger Liverpool fans lets be honest have never heard of us.
I don’t personally dislike Liverpool any more or less then any of the big teams, Klopp is a likeable guy and they play unbelievable football. I kind of want them to win the final, they are way ahead of us but I like the Nottingham 2 London 1 thing, really annoyed when Chelsea won it.
As for scumbag fans they exist in all walks of life and in most big cities, Birmingham and London are worse if you ask me. At least a scouser will normally smile at you whilst he steals your wallet. I do find it a shame when I see local kids running around in ManU and Liverpool tops though, that all used to be Forest.

Hate them. I may be bitter but I have a hate list!!
1 Sheep - obvious why
2. Man U- happy memories of games, but their fans.....Also signed Davenport when he was my idol.
3. Liverpool - So many reasons already mentioned, plus the "we should have had the big end" response in 89.
4. Sheet Utd /Leeds - too hard too split more or less the same, the Clough factor might just edge it for Leeds
5. Spurs- I get people loving them now but I remember 91 and their fans have always been horrible.
6. Wolves-again in vogue at present, but never forget Branch.
7. Newcastle- 1974. Also let Mancs win league when they shouldn't have.
8. Sunderland- Boring club, horrible fans.
9. Luton- plastic pitch, idiot chairman, Steve Foster. seemed to beat them...
10. Leicester-mainly because they hate us.c
As an aside: Anywhere Warnock goes.

Regarding Heysel and Liverpool damaging the country’s reputation and getting all English clubs banned from Europe, in which Forest lost out more than most, have Liverpool ever apologised for it?

No never. They should have been made to pay us compensation too.

Wasn't just us, the likes of Norwich, Everton when they had a really good side, West Ham, Wimbledon, QPR, Luton and even possibly the Sheep (not all bad news then) missed out having been top 6 or 7 or won cups. Now they are minted, I reckon it should be 10 million per season to each team that missed out. (except the sheep). Of course it would never happen, but outside of the usual suspects how might things have been different for some of those clubs back then with European football to enjoy.
That said I would have missed 2 trips to ZDS/Simod cup finals which were good games and great days out.

It's more the fans and media for me. I like the city.
Me too love the city hate the club and fans. Utterly self deserving who think they should be given 3 points just because they’re Liverpool, one fan even told talk sport phone in they should be joint winners of the League this year because, well, they’re Liverpool! Says it all really

I am a bit too young to be hating Liverpool for reasons mentioned in posts above so can't really comment. I have nothing against them from my life time and I enjoy watching them play to be honest.

Yes.
Once they were winning everything. And only Brian Clough's Forest stood in their way.

Hate Liverpool as we seriously missed out on European competition in the 80s and it was their fault. Seems to be forgotten. How different could our recent history have been if it wasn’t for this?
Hate Spurs for the 1991 cup final. We should have won that. Gazza should’ve been sent off. Still feel sorry for Des to this day
