It all depends on what the losses were for last season and how much we wish to spend.
Last seasons transfer dealings were roughly neutral as far as P & S goes; the sale of Brereton was largely the reason why.
I would imagine that wages went up again but so did income.
Lets assume we lost 10m (my educated guess would be far less than that) last season and 5m the season before, that gives us 24m of losses to play with.
We could spread 50m over 5 seasons and still comply with the P & S rules as it would only take up 10m of the 24m - you obviously need to add wages on top.
The question is "does EM want to spend that amount?"
I would assume not and hazard a guess that we will spend around half that, and 25m is not to be sneezed at if spent well.
Lets assume we do spend something in that ball park, the sale of Osborn for 5m, who does look like he is heading out, would make the summer dealings more or less neutral again.
The above figures could be pie in the sky, but have I seen enough for me to suggest that we now have a sustainable strategy in place with regard to recruitment.
