More than anyone could afford...

Nah sorry but not in today’s game, for all his skill it just wouldn’t work for obvious reasons. None of that takes away from what he achieved for us, its just different players for different times. Had we sold Robbo at his peak to say Liverpool he may well have been a big fee but I suspect even then other clubs would have had reservations about his lifestyle.

I'm going Collymore>Keane>Anderson. All three were/will be British record sales. So if Anderson is worth £120m, how much would those other two be worth today? Wow, a lot.

I think we had Roy for 3 years, Collymore for 2 and Anderson for 2 (so far). They have 0 Player of the Season awards between them.

Those guys had some excellent team mates.

Yes, they had good team mates but I can still the recall the good impression young Keane made on me when he played his first home game. It was obvious even to my young eye the guy was incredibly talented from the get-go. How the hell we plucked him out of thin air, without any competition from other clubs, I just don't know. He could defend, he could score, could pass and his competitive streak was there too at that young age.

But Collymore could win you a game single handedly. He was hugely talented in that regard. That's why I've got him as our no1 (prem) player.

Who on earth beat Collymore to POTS?

I recall the Div1 campaign where he was 2nd in scoring charts to Palace striker called Chris (Armstrong?) and then in Prem yes he had some competition but he was the obvious standout.

David Phillips and Steve Stone won the two Forest POTS awards in the years Collymore was here.

Obviously we'll have new players coming in but just thinking how a Glasner starting XI could look with what we have now:

-------------------------------Sels---------------------------
---------------Cunha-------Murillo------Milenkovic-------
Aina------------Sangare--------Dominguez-----Williams
---------Hutchinson------Wood---------MGW------------

Subs: Victor, Netz, Abbott, Savona, Yates, Ndoye, CHO, Bakwa, Jesus

There's the basis of what looks a decent squad there though midfield and wing-back looks a bit light.

I was thinking if the two behind Wood are inside not wide then McAtee for Hutchinson.
Also wing backs IMO need to overlap and whip the crosses in so Williams/Aina on the right and a new 1st choice on the left.

Forgot all about McAtee!

I think Bakwa and N'Doye were actually surprisingly competent at wingback (arguably better than when they played on the wing although that is a low bar) so they are an option too.

Feels like we are pretty set at CB, even if we switch to a 3, maybe another young option but personally would like to see Abbott given more chances, I reckon a 3 would suit him. Definitely need more options for wingbacks, is Munoz too far out of our league to sign from Palace?

Feels like we're short everywhere else really aside from AM where we have MGW, McAtee and Jesus (effectively). If we do play this system, we would probably only need one new wide option and focus more of the potential upgrades at wingback? Plus the Anderson replacement and the Wood replacement.

I wonder if there are one or two who were on the way out who may be much more alligned with Glasners style, Im particularly thinking Savona at RCB in a 3 and Ndoye possibly at wing back.
Conversely Im not sure I see a place for McAtee long term, probably at least one of Bakwa ( he’s never a wingback Wassy!) or Hutchinson doesn’t fit either. Could also see Dominguez leaving.
