I agree.

It is solid, stable and won't collapse.

I think it is easier to change if we don't win the Europa league. Ultimately Vitor was appointed to keep us up. He looks like doing that. Mission accomplished - thank you very much. Part ways on positive terms. If he wins the Europa league and keeps us up - I just can't see how you would remove him.

I honestly don't understand why anyone would want to look to change. Never understood the idea that Silva is top of our list (other than EM apparently likrs him) just seems a middle of the road manager to me.

Vitor did really well for wolves last year then they sold their 2 star players and fell to pieces. Hardly surprising.

Tend to agree. Safe pair of hands maybe which given our upheavals is no bad thing and perhaps a season where not much happens would be a blessed relief. But nothing about him makes me excited.

The same was said about Nuno prior to him joining and look at the season we had under him. People moaned about Mourinho’s style, but the pragmatic Portuguese style of football does win things. I’d be very happy with Silva

Silva is an itch that Marinakis wants to scratch but Vitor is earning the role…

It's sort of reminiscent of the logic of picking Dyche previously. He's never managed a big team but always overachieved will smaller teams, never managed a team with a decent budget. Has he managed in Europa before? I happen to know that Vitor has taken a team to a Europa semi final at least once!

Fwiw, would be fine with Silva, he's highly rated and would be considered a coup. Right now the squad seem pretty happy with Vitor though. I guess its a bit of a win win really.

Silva wants the real madrid job. Think hes aiming a bit higher than us sadly. Carry on with vitor if the players like him
