Id certainly stick with the 3 at the back, it gives MGW a lot more freedom to create problems. A great point tonight. Have to build on it now.

After being behind twice, that almost feels like a win.
Almost. Sensational point. Especially considering how City have been beating everyone recently. Bring on Fulham (just wish we didn’t have that other match 3 days before). All things considered, delighted with tonight. (And those goals were brilliant!)

Can't believe that Yates header didn't go in, I was up celebrating

Excellent performance. Shame Yates did not hit the target.

Not sure why but just rewatched the Yates header. What a chance that was.
MGW what a performance tonight though. Always works so hard but he was getting reward today. Perhaps the new system is helping him too.

Yes, 3 at the back seems to be helping him have more freedom and influence.

Watched the game at the pub with my Spurs mate last night. He’s really worried Spurs will go down
Great result for Forest, pity West Gam won. We really need to beat Fulham at home as West Ham are playing well and full of confidence

That could be a very vital point for us.
There seems a new togetherness and determination. Great to see Jair Cunha well and truly in the fold after being completely blanked out by the previous manager. We are still very much alive and kicking.

I think 3 at the back helps a lot with the Europa league fixtures, we can continue to play Cuhna, Milenkovic and Murillo in all matches as they don't have to cover too much ground and won't get tired. The WBs can alternate between Ola and Neco and NDoye and CHO, so all will get a rest. The decision is about the midfield and attack and some rotation will be needed.

As per above comments its great that we are now more flexible with our tactics and formations, credit Vitor for that. My only concern is the defensive solidity doesnt quite seem to be there, we panic and flap at set pieces like we did did when we were first promoted, particularly when trying to see the game out.

The shape of the back 3 was a lot better distance wise than the 2nd half on Sunday. But still thought the wing backs were a bit too deep - meaning that Dominguez in particular had to cover a lot of space.
Hopefully we can work on that a bit before next week. Ref let them get away with a lot. But what a great point. Loved the tram journey back into town with citeh fans showing constant replays of the many ‘penalties’ on their phones….. |
