Current Players Thread
Dyche has succeeded in taking any enjoyment out of forest right now. Let's hope he changes that quickly.

Yes right, 1 or 2 have looked slightly better.

What about the other 23?

Don't they count?

Look at our league position and look at our performances and compare them to last season and then tell me that players have improved and are doing better under Dyche.

Lol

I agree there is no enjoyment right now and a lot of that is to do with the managers style but I also think the players have contributed a lot to that as well.

It's a shame we are in this position with Taiwo. He has obviously been in terrible form for a while although to be fair to him without any significant spells in the first team for a while now.

He ran in behind 2/3 times yesterday and obviously scored with one. He looked fit, hungry and even controlled the ball well while being a menace.

Jesus has qualities as we saw yesterday, but I honestly don't think Jesus and the new lad are run in behind powerful strikers. It's no coincidence that with Wood out and Taiwo not in the side (out of form) we have seen very few one on ones this season. Some of the quality we have in midfield I think it's a big loss not having that profile of striker running on the end of through balls.

I'd be reluctant to let Taiwo go if Wood is out for the season although I accept he probably needs a move in the summer.

Taiwo has always needed games to get himself going but then just when he hits his stride he gets injured again. Hard to deal with that, you do feel if he ever had a run of games without getting injured he could be good. Got a lot of the same vibes as DCL, worked out pretty well for him this year.

He said post match he believes he’s always been and will be a prem player and this is where he belongs, maybe dyche’s run them till they drop training has helped taiwo get back to it, it would be prudent to keep him for that 20-25 min cameo, where we’ve let them smash against our defence for 70 mins and unleash him against tired bodies and let him wrestle them get some goals and sell him in the summer if that’s what’s to happen

I think what has been unlucky for him is we haven't been able to select him in the EL games with the other B team players. That could've been 8 starts that could've got him firing.

I assume if we don’t include Wood in the 25 and with Kali gone, Taiwo would now stay as 3rd CF even if we do get another in.

Still wouldn't be in the EL squad though I'd of thought.

I would personally go Jesus on Thursday and start Taiwo against Palace. Unlikely though.

By some distance McAtee's best match. Hope he can build from that.
