Liverpool - Nottingham Forest
I'm all caught up and managed to get the match in without hearing the score. I can finally join in with saying what an excellent team performance and delighted with a big win.
Here is hoping the green shoots of recovery are on there way and we begin to climb up the table.

It would be interesting to see madeleys written match report we’ve got numerous angles that show he was directly behind Jesus so unless he has xray vision he wouldn’t have been able to see the incident, so if a linesman’s told him he should hold some doubt on that (which is why it probably took him 7 secs) and should have waited to see VAR said there had been a handball in the build up (which they wouldn’t)

Dermot Gallagher blindly towing the line that VARs evidence was inconclusive to over turn when it was clear it didn’t hit his arm is also very annoying

I can see why VAR didn't overturn it as the views weren't conclusive. It felt to me like an umpire's call in cricket - the on-field decision would've stood either way.

How the ref managed to make that decision as - like you said - he was right behind Jesus is another matter altogether. Just glad it didn't impact the result at all.

Poor old Jesus and it’s not even Easter yet.

Chicago: Pleased as punch.

I think I'll take the 3 nill on this occasion but you are right. I was just talking to a mate and as positive as things seem right now we are going to need goals from Jesus or Wood soon. I hope he bags soon to go on a run but that's no reflection of his contribution. The chances have dried up a bit for him though.

We have scored eight goals in the last three league games, that’s pretty good going.

Perhaps a moment to applaud the all round contribution?

Yes mate I'm buzzing at the moment. Jesus has been brilliant. To be clear what I'm saying is it's a shame he was hard done by with the goal because he deserves it and we will benefit from him having confidence.

Zero negativity or law suits from me this week.

I would not have overturned the ref's decision.
While it certainly looked like shoulder and chest, there was still the possibility that is whisked the arm too.
Unless you could say without doubt that it didn't, the VAR has no right to overturn the ref's decision.
I don't think anyone can say that on what we can see.

Not sure I agree there, I thought it was pretty conclusive that it didn't hit the arm. There was certainly no evidence that it did hit his arm and plenty of views showing that it didn't.

The VAR doesn't need 100% to be overturning decisions, personally if that was Liverpool, I'd of thought we'd got away with one there.

The ref again bottling it when a big player from a big club puts his hand up and appeals.

It was the use of the words “we need” that suggested otherwise.

Btw despite Wood’s drop in xG this season, his goals per minutes is actually quite reasonable and broadly where you would expect him to be.

Little shout out for the outside-of-the-foot pass that Dominguez played into Williams in the build-up to the second goal.

Not a natural winger but always gives it a go. One of my favourite signings since we've been promoted and it'd be great if he could force himself into Argentina's World Cup squad.

JimmyGordon, it works for the big boys as Forest players seem so accepting of these things. Did you notice Igor when his goal was disalowed? Just got on with it when most of the top strikers in the PL would be pleading with the ref to review!

Most would see that as a positive reaction rather than anything negative. Staying focussed and in the zone.

Complaining also makes literally no difference to a refs decision with VAR in tow.

well considering I didn't say "we need" your otherwise bollox is bollox.

I'm not interested in Woods stats so far this season, I'm interested on what he does when he comes back. One of our greatest ever goalscorers.
