Morgan Gibbs-White
We definitely need more from him and I think it will come. I have no option with benching him although he plays well against United usually.

Regarding some of the above comments - I don't know how I'd react if I had to stay in a job because of the threat of legal action.

The threat of legal action was against Spurs for an illegal approach.

It wasn't a threat against the player.

Please reassure me that this place isn’t like twatter and we aren’t going to pile on to him because of a short clip using an out of context remark about Saturdays opponents.

I like Morgan, he is definitely out of form at the moment, I get if his flicks and pulled faces annoy you but surely the one thing you cannot fault is his work ethic and passion.

Wouldn't have even known about it if you didn't mention it!

Apparently, both Elliot Anderson and Morgan Gibbs-White are in the top 5 for successful passes in the final third of the pitch in the PL this season. Anderson is top, followed by Szoboszlai, Bruno Fernandes, then MGW then Reijnders.

Good to see Anderson top, MGW being in that list is interesting though being the only playing playing further forward of that group.

Does that imply he's too deep and that's why he's having as many passes as these guys? Or perhaps that the him and Anderson are passing to are not utilising the ball well? Or it's just an irrelevant stat out of context!

Genuinely have no idea what you’re talking about!

Thing is with MGW, when it's going well and coming off you forgive the number of times he loses possession. When it's not it becomes frustrating.

My main concern with him has always been the lack of goals, mind.

Exactly this. For all the talent and effort the thing that lets him down is his finishing/lack of goals. Same with Anderson. Both very good players but unless they improve on the goals front they’ll never reach their full potential or for the club, peak value. £60m Spurs wanted to pay for MGW was more than fair. Yes we value him more as our star player but he has some way yet to match the likes of Foden, Maddison, Morgan and Eze for instance.

Far too good a mood to pick an argument but……ahem.

Welcome back Morgan.

So happy to see him doing so well.

Yes I am pleased.

I gave him a bit of stick not long ago and I think it was deserved at the time.

But he seems to have his mojo back under Sean, Woany and Stoney and that benefits all of us.

Hes not trying to be everything and be everywhere on the pitch now. He can do that now things are organised behind him. That's given him licence to get in the box.

I wouldn't say he's back to his best yet but he's on his way.
