Forgetting the fact we already had one of the best defences in the Prem already they didn't.

Not forgotten it at all. My point is most of us thought Morato wasn’t up to it when given the chance in a back 2 (he was OK seeing out the game as part of a 3). We knew we needed 2 fullbacks.
This notion of “back ups” is utterly pointless if they aren’t good enough. Zinchenko is good enough and a fabulous loan. Jair we thought would be promising and take the place of Morato but seems to have disappeared, so we have a CB down (hopefully not for long) but are relying on the guy who we knew wasn’t good enough last season.

Not watching it but the Chelsea Man Utd game sounds mad

Lots of underwhelming starts for Prem teams. Villa scored 1 goal in 5 games, Forest, Newcastle, Brighton, West Ham all won 1 game each. Wolves are woeful. Brentford are playing how you expect with a set piece coach becoming head coach.

Early days. But the standard in the PL so far has been average, still competitive though.

So we are 4 points off of Champions League...........good, nice and close.

I was hoping Sunderland lost today but keeping Villa in a rut is also good for us. I'm more interested in the next game than May right now.

I see Pep did a Nuno on Arsenal and almost got away with it if it wasn't for a brilliant piece of finishing from Martinelli. Ironically, Arsenal equalized because Citeh pushed forward near the end and were caught almost on a counter which is what Haaland did to them to begin with. The Shammers did that to us...

So everyone is copying Nuno now......Apart from us...

Ironic isn’t it? But actually a good summary of the PL right now.

Lots of teams now going 541 out of possession - especially away.

Simple - if they play 5 in defence, play 6 in attack #angeball

Noises growing of nuno to the hammers.

Seeing as he had a pissy fit that perhaps EM was evaluating out of work managers, wonder if he’s totally fine with it now the shoes on the other foot

West Ham reportedly concerned about his wage demands though and may turn to Slaven Bilic instead.
