My concerns with Ange are his injury record and the style of play. If he can temper the gung-ho style he adopted during most of his time at Spurs with a bit more pragmatism then he could do well. They played more solidly later on in the season - notably in the Europa League - and ended up winning it.
That's a big if though.

Sounds like this is a done deal - others reporting it's close as well.

Looks like this might be confirmed today:
David Ornstein @David_Ornstein · 2m Ange Postecoglou to be confirmed as Nottingham Forest head coach imminently after Nuno Espirito Santo departure. 60yo Australian will lead #NFFC for Saturday’s trip to Arsenal - joined by a number of staff worked with at Tottenham Hotspur @TheAthleticFC

The fact he won the Europa league will have been a huge driver for this appointment I think. Marinakis will want to win it

John Percy
@JPercyTelegraph · 3m Ange Postecoglou to be confirmed as #nffc new head coach later today. Former Tottenham manager likely to sign 18-month contract and will take first game at Arsenal on Saturday. Postecoglou was No. 1 target for Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis

Mistake. But hey I suspect Markinakas knows what he is doing.

I'm not going to write him off before he's managed any matches for us. Plenty did that with both Cooper and Nuno and ended up looking daft.

As long as he hooks off a player or two who are having a shit game and doesn’t wait till the 89th minute to make 3 changes…
