If he goes, plus Mbeumo and Wissa possibly leaving, throw in an unproven manager, and they could really struggle next season.

They do have £100m+ in their pocket though.

And a London Postcode.

But is that enough of a lure with an unproven manager?

Depends what makes players tick doesn't it? If Wissa and Mbuemo move to higher-profile clubs for big wages then you can see why players might be tempted to use Brentford as a stepping stone.

Isn’t Brighton the actual stepping stone though? It’s only this summer that Brentford have apparently been raided

They do but 100m doesn’t replace 40 goals that those 2 scored last season.

Norgaard also had 5G’s and 4A’s last season

Poor old Brentford. They might not yet realise it. But as natural order is restored. They'll soon be back down the divisions. Glorious!

I'd love it but I wouldn't be writing them off yet. They'll have a huge war chest now to get new players in and they're an extremely efficient club.

Brentford have lost players historically and always recruit well, but they have never lost a manager and seemingly 3 best layers in one window. They have normally just sold 1 in a window. Will be very interesting to see how they bounce back especially under a manager with zero experience.

I hope not but I think their 'system' will get their new manager through it. I know we hate them around these parts but you have to take you hat off to them, the way they go about things is pretty impressive. That's why I think they'll be ok and get over these obstacles. It's just amazing how they've allowed themselves to get in this position in the first place.

Keith Andrews now confirmed as new Brentford manager.

I actually liked him as a pundit but hope he does terribly there. Sorry Keith.
