I'm sure if we do go to CAS we'll be portrayed in the press as the bad guys but I can't imagine most if not all clubs wouldn't do the same in our situation.
It's not Forest's fault that UEFA's rules are what they are and that Palace haven't adhered to them.
I know some will say that Palace deserve the place as they earned it on the pitch but a football club is more than just the eleven on the field. They should've got their s**t together.

Palace players and Glasner should be fuming with Textor.
The players, coaching staff and fans have done nothing wrong and they deserved to win the FA Cup.
However that is only half of the story. The other half is that Textor broke rules and missed important deadlines.

And not to labour the point, but our players, coaching staff and fans did nothing wrong after promotion but we got the book thrown at us and a large penalty.

Yes I'm biased but I think our season deserved more of a reward than theirs.

If we knew we were in the Europa League would we have a different transfer strategy / different
targets than if we knew we are in the conference league?
And if so how do we handle that?

Apparently Textor has agreed to sell his Palace shares to another American investor yesterday. So maybe that gives UEFA the out it needs to allow them to compete in Europa league.

That is all well and good but raises the question what is the point of deadlines?
Textor clearly missed it.

To me Textor selling his shares just reinforces that he and Palace messed up. Was he trying to sell his shares before all this?
And as Sniff said it shouldn't matter. If he'd been actively trying to sell them before the March 1st deadline then fair enough. But selling the now? What difference does that make?
I can see this whole situation dragging on and getting messy.

Snippet from The Athletic's article on Textor selling his shares:
"It remains uncertain whether UEFA will accept the deal having been agreed subject to the owners’ and directors’ test as sufficient to admit Palace to the Europa League, but it may decide that Textor had no decisive influence.
Further information was requested from Palace which raised hopes that they are leaning towards approving their participation in the competition. A decision is expected before the end of this month."
Another interesting thing is the number of American sports fans commenting on the article saying what an awful owner Woody Johnson is - so Palace might be doing themselves more harm than good in the longer term.
