23 man squad and definitely exposed if we get injuries at CB or CF. But we have been very lucky with injuries this season, may be more to it than luck with improved training regimes.
Did Zach Abbott end up staying? 5th choice CB if needed although suspect that would be a last resort.
Nobody was made available who could have made a differencenthough.
Sesko the door slammed shut before it opened, Wissa the door slammed shut and Cunha the door slammed shut.
3 players who could have made a difference.
Arsenal wanted them too and like us they ended up with nothing.
Honestly I am more than happy with what we currently have and who have got us to where we currently are.

I know we were trying to bring a few in, but I am quite pleased we didn't in some ways. The fact that we have not been reckless puts us in a better financial position. Also, I wonder whether it gives the current players the confidence that the club has faith in them to keep going. It must be great knowing that the manager and club generally seems to have prioritised keeping what we have and rewarding them, rather than others. Maybe this is naive, but that team unity can only have been enhanced by the club's trust in them.

I'm fine with it, ultimately whichever attacker you signed would have to displace someone else from the team. So you're taking risks with team harmony, cohesion etc. No guarantee that player would be able to do all the off the ball stuff the likes of Elanga do either. So you were either looking for someone so good that they have to start or a young player in the Sosa/Jota mould which we already have.

Hopefully the focus can now be on new contracts for Aina, MGW and Nuno. I’d imagine we’ll have a lot of interest in our players in the summer. MGW and Murillo get the headlines, but imagine what the likes of Milenkovic, Anderson, Elanga and Hudson-Odoi are worth

Can't recall seeing it mentioned on here but there was a stat I read that after Saturday's game we're now the team with the second-most different scorers (13) in the league this season, only behind Arsenal with 14.

Any idea how much Chelsea offered for Murillo?

I think EM shot it down before it even got to the offering stage.

Hopefully Taiwo gets a goal in the FA cup he has looked improved but he obviously needs a run he can't get at the moment.
When Taiwo gets hooked against Exeter I'd like to see our third striker Jota play up top instead of Wood coming off the bench. He is physical, can run in behind and has a good header on him.

Jota's previous coach in Portugal said that striker is his best position.

Jota may be a decent finisher but as a CF how we set up he is totally unsuited. Would think Nuno would stick MGW or Elanga up top before he turned to Jota. Lets hope it doesn’t come to that.
As has been said before, the issue with any absence for Wood is not so much Taiwo’s ability, more the fact his stamina is gone by 60 mins and any longer risks him getting an injury.
