This game is a free hit really for us. The only worry is getting beaten by a large number of goals that damages the goal difference. Don't risk players that need a break or got slight knocks as we need to be 100% for the sheff utd game.

This mentality really pisses me off.

I saw the same comments ahead of the Tottenham game.

We are at home to Man City. A team we took a point off last year.

We are one point above the relegation zone.

We have beaten the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Villa, Spurs and Newcastle since we returned to the Prem.

No wonder we are in trouble if we view any game in the premier league as a free hit.

Noble words User, but I'm pretty certain the players are thinking they cant beat City. And it's not just us. Even Arsenal and Liverpool are accepting that in the run-in period, City win all their games.

We should be realistic.

We will likely lose….but we shouldn’t approach the game with a mindset of anything other than getting a result.

It’s the run in, teams at the top can choke in these situations, the recent run of results by Leeds, Leicester and Ipswich is a great example for this.

Loser mentality produces loser results.

Bit of a close range effort then?

As Greavesy used to say Football’s a funny ol game. We just need to go out on Sunday and give it everything like we did v Liverpool at home but hope this time we put our chances away.

We have to go into this game with the view of taking points off City.

Show them no respect. How we set up depends on their result tonight.

There team will be interesting - they looked jaded in the last game- stones is made of glass. They playing Thursday we have a full week rest. I’d be unhappy if we get out run on Sunday. We need to be chasing everything.

I’d play 451 too - midfield 5 of Dominguez, danillo Sangare/ yates MgW and Williams. Play aina at right back and toff at left back. Straight out of Everton playbook.
