Some will be delighted to hear that but not me.

He does have his good games and then has some very average games but Neco is good enough to fill that gap.

Nobody will be delighted but as far as clangers go he's as bad as Turner at times.

I’m not ignorant to him having been a WC winner etc but for example the brizzle game he leapfrogged the ball that was getting passed at him (yes high) like he was scared of it!

I know Montiel is not perfect but he gets his head on so many corners and free kicks that get put into our box, I think he is also second in assists only behind Elanga.

You miss these things when they are not there.

Montiel is one of the most bafflingly inconsistent players I have ever seen. Very good against Newcastle away, Man U and Arsenal. Very poor against Blackpool, Brentford and woeful again before he went off on Wednesday. I dont get how so far he has looked much more composed against some of the best teams so in that regard we will definitely miss him.

Williams has done very well recently and deserves a start but you are correct about Montiel winning headers in the box and our ability to defend set pieces still looks very shaky.

Aina, Boly and Sangare all returned from AFCON with injuries and not in the squad vs. Villa.

Hopefully they are available for Man Utd, so we can change the team around.

No idea on the severity of any of them. BBC Nottingham Sport tweeted the headline following Nuno's press conference but no other details yet.
