Didn’t mean to exaggerate the reply if it came over as that way. Cooper can absolutely be criticised, the word Plymouth red used on the other thread I think was the most fitting - Complacent.
That was the entire team and coaching staff at 2-0 up. Thinking we could change 5 players vs little old Luton and they would just roll over for us.
However this thing about underachieving with the current squad.
This is the 11 we finished with yesterday
Turner
Aina Worrall Murrillo Toffollo
Mangala Yates Kouyate
Williams Gibbs-white
Wood (who could barely jog near the end)
Its nowhere near our strongest team, probably not as good as the team that just scraped survival last season. If we had to start with that 11 Im pretty sure we would end up relegated.

To progress you need 2 things. Better players and better tactics. Second half subs was suicide. Cooper was like a junior team manager giving his loyal favourites minutes, was up there with norwich

are we getting a bit high and mighty and entitled. we should have won yesterday and Cooper may have made some mistakes but come on let’s have some perspective. every managers makes some mistakes along the way, even the best. we come so far so quickly we have to accept some hiccups on the way. we are a competitive premier league team who most likely won’t get relegated and no reason to believe won’t progress a bit from last season. currently we have a lot of injuries in attacking positions. i can’t believe fans booed yesterday on the final whistle. there is always going to be set backs on the way. we are a better team than last season.

We didn't have to finish with that team who were on the pitch at the final whistle, that was Steve's choice.
Also one or two who were saying that we shouldn't have punished Palace last week because they had players missing now saying that we didn't win against Luton because we had players missing. Make up your mind, which is it?
I am 100% convinced that Steve is currently underachieving with this squad and nothing anyone says is gonna change my mind. Hopefully he can turn things around because we are now 6th from bottom and dropping.

if we had won yesterday we would have 9th. i think Steve Cooper has massively over achieved at Nottingham Forest.

We have injuries but nobody on here at all has said we shouldn’t have won yesterday. We have dropped 4 points at home against 2 weak looking newly promoted sides. Had we won both we would currently be 8th so yes at the moment we are underachieving although away results have been better. However this time last year we managed to drop all 6 points at home against 2 newly promoted sides.
As to your other point about the squad may do a separate thread on it if I have time.

Last 5 games we have only picked up 4 Points when we faced Man City, Brentford, Palace, Burnley and Luton it isn’t good enough.
Marinakis has every right to be fuming - He has backed Cooper tremendously over the last year and we are underachieving.
If it wasn’t for that win against Chelsea we would be right in the relegation battle.

But we didn't and we are 6th bottom.
I agree that Steve overachieved when he first arrived but I am talking about the here and now and 6th bottom with the money spent and the players he has and wanted who are at his disposal tells me that he is currently underachieving.

For those saying get potter in as well is a massive no, he held Brighton back, that's how it currently feels with coops, regardless if we won yesterday, it was a championship standard side, it's like praising toff for doing well, yes he did well, but it was hardly a major threat, same against palace who had no quality attackers, it's clear evangelos wants a top half finish, were not playing like a top half side ATM, a lot of basics are not been done, and then stupid coaching choices

Agree mate. We have a team what is better than half the teams in the league. But yet struggle at home, against Sheff united. And Luton. Coops has over achieved now is struggling

The three points is what matters not getting a few minutes in the legs of your old buddies.
On another note Santos and Vlachodemos are totally brassed off and losing patience quickly.
Santos can go back to Stamford Bridge and sit on the bench there is he wants. I'm not fazed by how he feels.
Oddy is a different story, he is a No.1 and not doubt will begin to question his decision to join.

Didn’t agree with the subs at the time think he was trying to shore up with the attackers they bought on
But if Sedge clears that ball it ends up 2.0 we need to just move on the only positives in the end we’re unbeaten at home and another point on the board just need to put some draws into wins
