Thought worrall and garner had particularly poor nights

Thats slain the ghosts of 2003 and 2007

Wonder who was down for the 5th pen? Wozza? Jack?

I also thought McKenna had one of his poorer games too.

I think sometimes you have to hold you hands up and say some of our players played badly because of the opposition. It was the same 2nd half v Bournemouth.

I think McKenna picked up a knock so had to hold himself back a little

Loved this:

111 min Lovely from Gibbs-White, who’s been the best player on the pitch tonight, turning Cook on the half-turn with Zidane-like feet and body-movement. Naturally, Cook ploughs through him and is booked.

He got 24 weeks in nick and has to pay Billy Sharp £500.

Just 24 weeks, should be way longer.

Anyway enjoy your time in prison you sad wanker. Wonder if we can arrange for Big “Crowbar” Dave from C wing to pay you a visit while you are in the showers.

Ultimatelt No one deserves that but for the brain dead moron who did the attack - I hope he is severely punished because his actions have unfortunately shaped the narrative of what should have been an overwhelmingly positive day - and I really resent that.

As for McBurnie - it doesn't look good but without knowing what happened before that it is difficult to judge. If unprovoked it looks bad, if he was attacked by the bloke... that is a different scenario and I would not condone it because I would expect the likes of colback and cafu to respond of attacked (as the lads did when that Leicester fan tried to have a go)

There's another video doing the rounds on Twitter now, taken from the Peter Taylor stand. It shows that Rhian Brewster grabs the Forest fan by the neck and when he's on the ground McBurnie stamps on him. No way the fan attacked McBurnie first, or Brewster for that matter. It looks like he was just celebrating near them.

My take on this is the fan was probably giving their players some verbals but even so, this doesn't look good for either player. Looks like the fan is laughing or something in their face. As you say Brewster grabs the guy and the fan goes over. What happens then is McBurnie shoves people out the way to enable him to stamp on the guy. He goes for him in what looks like a sustained attack. If that happened in town on a Friday night he'd be arrested and charged, especially if there's CCTV of it.

It'll be interesting if this just goes away now that the lad who did Sharp has been jailed. Message delivered and all that.

It also looks like someone in a yellow bib has a pop at the guy on the floor too.

This isn’t helping is it…
1. The pitch invasion was illegal and the club did everything in its control to stop it including extra stewards and police.
2. It was always going to happen- maybe not if we’d have won in normal time- the instant euphoria of winning a premiership shootout made it inevitable.
3. The police prioritised the players on the pitch and stopping the forest fans and sheff Utd fans meeting.
4. The non playing players were sitting on the pitch. I’m not sure this was a great idea but maybe to maximise allocations to fans.
5. The Sheff Utd players were giving verbals all match…the whole tactic was to make this a battle/fight- rile the crowd and transfer that onto the forest team… it worked to a point.
6. The fan that hurt BS is a twat of the highest order.
7. Billy Sharps response was pure class
8. The sheff Utd players would have been incensed at what happened to BS
9. It was mostly handbags compared to what happened to BS
10. Mc Burnie is a Chav.
11. Disappointed in McGoldrick -

I saw a video on twitter yesterday of the Heckingbottom Spence incident. As soon as he did it, McBurnie was out his seat and getting aggressively involved. He like hopped over in his medical boot trying to get involved when Brennan flew in to protect his mate. As a none player, non coach WTF did that incident have to do with him? As others have said, why was he even sat there anyway?

It seems trivial to start a 'yes but' debate as clearly the fans shouldn't have been on the pitch and certainly shouldn't have been goading their players, if that's what happened, but as you say, a lot of this stuff wouldn't have happened if Sheffield hadn't tried to turn the game into a battle. Heckingbottom needs to be ashamed of himself. I've not seen anything like it ever in my time I dont think. And the fact that he hasn't come out after the dust has settled and apologised (hardheartedly) is shameful. Unless I've missed something, all he's done is try to justify his actions. If that's the example he sets then it's no surprise his players do the stuff that appears to have happened.

McBurnie hobbling over trying to get to Brennan.

Just to add fuel to the fire there was also an incident after the match where the player's come out of the dressing rooms at the back of the Main Stand involving Jack Robinson and a Forest fan.

Would not object to this disappearing now. Mcburnie is a thug and he has a reputation as a thug. He's also a ship footballer so i guess he needs to do something to justify his likely extortionate wage.

Personally heck is in no position to lecture but nothing justified the actions of the biggest prick which was the nob who headbutted Sharp.

In the end Sharp showed his class - shame his manager couldn't be as graceful.
