We got lucky there.

But with the penalty decisions going against Forest lately...we're due a bit of luck.

The 1st half wasn't good.  1st boos(?) under Cooper.  And it wasn't a good 1st half.  We're facing a bottom of the table side and Forest hadn't turned up bar the initial shot from Zinc Man.

I"ll check out the table.  But it sounds like the sides around Forest have won when we have.

The table is compressing around the top 13 places. Forest are 3 points off Stoke in 7th!

5 off Coventry in 6th?

Pity about all those wasted points in the 1st 7 games. Just a few from them or the 'almost win' games lately and Forest would be top 6-8th.

I can see Wilder's Boro' going into that top 6.

Blackburn have closed the gap on West Brom and look like staying in the top 6. QPR are two points off them. And they're showing top 6 form.

Cov' look like they're going to slip out with pressure from the teams below.

Any kind of modest run of results and Forest hit the play offs.

Lucky escape today. Pretty much any other side in the division eould have beaten us today.

Without the wing backs flying on we look a very average side indeed. The front 3 were very poor again today.

Is it now 3 or 4 games thay Brennan has been dire? How he stayed on the pitch for the full game today is a mystery to me. Id definitely be giving Mighten a chance in his place next game. He needs taking out imo. The concern is his contract/future is having an effect on his game.

And I just dont see how playing Colback at LB is a positive over Bong. He doesnt look comfortable, offers nothing going forward and we miss him desperately in the middle. Id be tempted to revert to Bong or take a chance on a youngster in there.

Gritty win that we would of lost last season or at start of this season . Some times ypu have to grind out a result and we have not done that for a long time . Front 3 just not clicking at minutes . Yates Wozza and Mckenna class again and Ojeda was bright . That game was crying out for a proper 10 in Joao but he still didn’t come on . Needs to move on in Jan for his own future. Johno looks jaded and bullied out of games at minute. Jan needs attacking reinforcements as we look ok at the back .
3 points gained and 5 off top 6 . 1 loss in 15 there is just no pleasing some folk .

At half time I was calling for Carvalho on in the middle for Brennan and Garner moved out wide. If there ever was a game Carvalho could have been introduced it was this one. Im sure he could have made a positive contribution.

Yep 1 loss in 15 is not to be sniffed at and we've stopped conceding too. Wonder if us tightening up at the back is the reason we're looking less convincing up top? The flat back 4 looks far less offensive.

With both of you that if Joao is ever going to get on the pitch it was that match.

Dont think we were as bad as you say Pap, 1st half was poor but thought we dominated 2nd half.

A few observations,
Spence was off the pace, not sure a flat 4 suits him as much.
Brennan is kind of out of the game until he is in it. Barely touched the ball until last 30 mins but then sprang into life as the game opened up.
We dont currently have a decent left back. Colback did a job but the competition was weak.
We do not concede goals at the moment. Mckenna Worrall and Samba behind look superb.
Grabbs was tireless again but how he missed the cross for the 1st goal before Garner poked in is beyond me.
3 handball appeals, thought 1 was a clear pen. Not seen Yates goal yet be we all thought it came off his arm.

Back to winning ways and the run since sacking CH tells its own story. Nice to get some goals but need more fire power in reserve on days like this.

Swansea away should be a tasty fixture. Hopefully cooper will get them fired up to go over his former charge. Rest of matches in december offer good opportunity to put some points on the board and go into january still in contention for a second half push.

You know, I’m not fussed about being promoted this season, although it would be a big ask in any case.
What I enjoy now is seeing my team win and if not, put in a good shift.
Cooper has been a breath of fresh air to this club and long may it continue. Although I was a hughton supporter, thank goodness he’s gone.
With the main stand plans looking like it is advancing a big thanks to EM and additional applause to all the back room staff.
If we finish mid table or maybe top half them I’m ok with that this season with our crap start.
