Hmm this is a very subjective positive, you're lucky I don't have the power to delete it as I want blind optimism/positivity on this thread please.

Maybe you need to slightly adjust the title then  ;)

Looking like our best window in years, we've managed to clear most of our deadwood and not sold any of our jewels for a change.

We've got two decent keepers, Worrall and Mckenna with Soh looks decent, Tutu looked good in that youtube video I saw, Lowe plays LB.

Garner is a top DCM, this Paraguayan kid is probably really good as he plays for their national team (means we might have someone in the world cup now!) can hopefully replace Yates. Zinck looks a good buy, Johnson will hopefully now sign a new deal, Mighten looks lively although maybe could do with some more end product and Carv is even getting games. This Silva guy sounded good on that twitter thread someone posted, lots of pace to add to the attack.

Up front we do appear to be short, I've always though CH would prefer to play two up top too, I wonder whether he'll try Taylor with this Silva supporting him or maybe Mighten.

We've got a pretty exciting young squad, experienced and successful manager, surely the only way is up...

Positive responses only  :D

Ok will give you a genuine one, what annoyed me most about last summers incomings was that in 14 players not one had addressed the glaring lack of pace in the squad. This lad has got it, so has Mighten and whatever people think of the additions we have added youth pace and energy.

Copied from Twitter:

Brings #NFFC’s summer business to a close - 9 new arrivals ✍️:

- Horvath
- Dräger
- Ojeda
- Silva
- Osei-Tutu (loan)
- Zinckernagel (loan)
- Garner (loan)
- Lowe (loan)
- Spence (loan)

Average age of signings this summer = 23.2, which is a refreshing change.

Couple that ^^ with the fact that we bombed about 15 out and slashed the wage bill by a few million I don't think it's been too bad.

Feeling much happier about the window this morning than I did initially.

Lots of unknowns but apart from an out and out striker, we've strengthen the squad, significantly reduced the wage bill & kept Worrall, Brennan and Mighten. Those 3 will be huge this season. Can't wait to see Worrall & McKenna get a run together again.

Very excited to see what the next few games bring. As annoying as it is, I’m thankful for the international break as I thought we were looking good pre-season until it was derailed. I think we'll be far stronger after the break.

Plus our kits this season (apart from the 3rd one) are lush!

We've got a pretty exciting young squad, experienced and successful manager, surely the only way is up... (now Hughton has permanent signings and a dollop of loan signings he has almost all the tools to work with to do the job he was hired to do.)

History shows at previous clubs (thanks to the stats posted elsewhere when I queried Hughton's previous formations...) 4-4-2 is deployed IF he has the recruitment to back that up.

I've upped my score to 7-7.5 for the window.

If we get a free agent striker, it could go to an 8...

SA.
