This is what I think CH will do rather than what I would do but suspect he will see it as a must not lose game.

So what would you do SM?

Not drastically different. I would play Krov ahead of Garner and Cafu but think CH will play a they shall not pass formation of Cafu Garner and Yates which means we will be devoid of any creativity again.
Upfront I have made my feelings on Taylor clear but he is under contract next year so may as well try him for a few games if no other reason than to improve any fee we could get for him.
I Dont see a point of playing either Freeman or Knockaert again, neither will be here next year and neither bring anything to the side we dont have with our own players.

Saturday was poor. But no need to over react as the bigger picture of past 8-10 games has been positive.

I am getting vibes of last season though when we just needed one win from those last 3 or 4 games. Surely history can't repeat itself and we will win at least one of the last four.

Lets hope Saturday was a blip and the players make amends against Brum to all but guarantee we are in this league next season

We need a Cardiff type performance here - id perhaps add Cafu/Murray for a physical battle which it will be.

i think we need to try stuff definitively differant but based on the foundations that are solid and working

a couple of suggestions, first is stop starting with the strongest 11, we are good at attritional and flare players are often better deployed later in the game and have a psychological advantage they are up against players they have had 45 minutes to study and are more tired so finish the game with Garner, Cafu, Krov, Knocky/Sammy and Alex, these are also players that put a shift in and tire, put blockers on or go long ball first half

2nd suggestion, maybe forget a striker and play more fluidly from the back with more variation/surprise going forward, static 35 yr old centre forwards are what defenders prefer, players running at them or sucking them up the pitch is what they will struggle with

Leeds, Sheff U, Norwich and the others get or got promoted by trying diffinitively differant, we can do some interesting stuff or make our more interesting stuff even more interesting, more over laps and bombing on even just for spells

the future of clubs that survive and prosper could be about who is delivering a strong, entertaining brand in the future, best start now, too much sameness for me or go with sameness for the first half and win games in the 2nd

I think we need point/s from this game.  As such, I was thinking the exact same thing.  A 'Cardiff' performance.

The Championship is largely muck and nettles as typified by Huddersfield.  Two costly mistakes (Garner and Knocker) contrived to give Huddersfield (who have barely won away all season) the win.  It's a pity Forest weren't as ruthless for the 1st 20 minutes against a rattled Huddersfield.  The (overall) story of the season.  Though recent form had picked up. I don't think Birmingham will get relegated with their current manager. He seems to 'get' the Championship and plays accordingly and recent results have picked up for them with the 'Juke' reinstalled as the 'man' up front.

Looks like Birmingham did Forest (and the other relegation threatened clubs) a favour by using up another of Rotherham's games in hand.  Cov', Huddersfield, Birmingham have squeezed up against Forest, closing the gap by winning games.

Forest would be wise to pick up some points from their next couple of games leaving the teams like Derby without enough track to catch them.

I'd be happy for an attritional performance against Birmingham to secure a point/s.

Derby have lost again. That's four in a row.

I would take a draw now if offered.

If Hughton’s going to win me over any time soon then he has to start making sensible team selections.

Grabban & Yates have to be dropped tonight.

Away to a physical team that we know will bombard us with long balls and in a game where the most important thing is not to lose. I get your point above but if ever there was a game to play Yates it is tonight.

Watch him play Krov garner and Bachirou and a team of midgets now Ive said that  :D

Whatever the team was against Cardiff should be deployed.

They proved they could do it against a Magic Mick side.

I'd take a muck and nettles 1-0 victory.
