Sorry to be boring but it's one game at a time for me.

It will be one game at a time...we can though really make some headway. Grabbs scores in purple patches and he is due one. We have more creativity and squads now are wearing thin in many teams... we have cover for almost every position and all had some recent minutes. Our league form is improving and this is what CH does. The midfield reinforcements are promising and just what we needed.
February is season defining but we are in a better place after January for sure...

The quartet of games starting at Watford are tricky

For context though -

Last 10 games  - 16 points @ 1.6 ppg
Last 15 games - 17 points @ 1.13 ppg

I will go in the middle of that given that it is a tougher run of fixtures than last 10, but countered by hopefully a stronger midfield.

So 11 games x 1.3 Ppg = 14 points.

That would put us on 43 points with 8 games left.

Sounds about right to me.

If we add average for the last 5 we get 10 points @ 2.0 ppg.

It's a good trend and maybe 1.3 is a bit on the conservative side

Yeah but it’s pretty obvious the kind of teams we get points from so applying what you suggest is just some form confirmation basis to support a rose tinted optimism.

Agree, it is a more optimistic view but at least it can be backed up by facts.

6th Feb.....Wycombe (A) 24th
13th Feb...Bournemouth (H) 6th
17th Feb...Swansea (A) 2nd
20th Feb...Blackburn (H) 8th
23rd Feb...Rotherham (A) 23rd
26th Feb...Derby (A) 20th
2nd Mar....Luton (H) 13th
6th Mar....Watford (A) 5th
13th Mar...Reading (H) 4th
17th Mar...Norwich (H) 1st
20th Mar...Brentford (A) 3rd

What are your views on these 11 matches? How many do you think we could/should win? Could we upset some of the top sides? What are your realistic expectations, points wise?

Wycombe A - Win
Bournemouth H - Draw
Swansea A - Lose
Blackburn H - Draw
Rotherham A - Win
Derby A - Draw
Luton H - Win
Watford A - Lose
Reading H - Win
Norwich H - Draw
Brentford A - Lose

16 points too optimistic? That run from 6th March onwards could be quite stressful if the games before them go badly.

Currently overachieving compared to these relatively optimistic predictions. That's a good sign! 10 so far and I had 8 predicted.

Hate saturdays with no football. On the occasions when we dont play I'd normally put all my energies into supporting whoever the sheep were playing but i cant even do that this weekend. Whoever decided Friday night football was a good thing?

I prefer Forest playing on Friday night. Gives me the whole weekend to do something else.

Our next run of games looks daunting actually.

Watford Away
Reading Home
Norwich Home
Brentford Away
Cardiff Away

Might get a point against Reading but really we could get nothing from the next 5 games and be right back in trouble.

Its the same run of games we had back in November which we took 1 point from.
Think we can do better this time, think 5 points would be excellent in the circumstances, even 3 points from these games wouldnt be disastrous.
