2020 Olympics - Sausage Roll - 26-07-2021

Brilliant day for Team GB at the Olympics. Three gold medals, with one of them to (apparently) Forest fan Adam Peaty.

Particularly pleased for Tom Daley too to finally bag a gold.

Tom Dean has become an Olympic champion for the first time after winning gold in the 200m freestyle, with fellow Team GB member Duncan Scott taking silver.

This just the best piece of footage I've seen for ages. Team Tom watching their boy bring it home.

Team GB athletes secured a bronze medal in the women's team gymnastics event, the first medal in that event for nearly 100 years. But the BBC were so focused on covering who would take home the gold medal, they missed that the GB athletes were in touching distance of the bronze medal.

It's summat to do with the BBC losing all of its previous viewing rights Sniff. Apparently, the Discovery Channel bought out the rights to show the games but decided to let the BBC show all the highlights with the caveat they can only show 2 live events in one go (Eurosport is owned by the Discovery Channel). Therefore, it would seem that they can only broadcast what the Japanese TV companies cover, which doesnt appear to have involved our womens gymnasts, as they weren't expected to be in the medals.

Britain have scored another gold medal in the Tokyo Olympic games in a near world-record setting swim. Duncan Scott brought home the gold in the Men’s 4x200m freestyle relay following a fantastic race that beat out the competition by over 2 whole seconds.

RE: 2020 Olympics - Sniffer Dog - 30-07-2021

Duncan Scott became the first British swimmer in 113 years to win three medals at one Olympics as he added a silver in the 200metres individual medley.
