Signings - woody - 14-06-2019 Does anyone else share my point of view that the signings are taking longer this year because the standard of player we are chasing is higher than last seasons and other clubs are in for them making it more difficult to nail down? Martin O'Neill is going to have to use all his charm and persuasive powers to get these over the line. RE: Signings - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 14-06-2019 I am not concerned at all. As far as I am aware hardly anyone has made a signing yet unless I have missed something. RE: Signings - Kylos247 - 14-06-2019 Good things come to those who wait. RE: Signings - ThePromisedLand - 14-06-2019 Suspect rumours thus far to be well wide of the mark. Looking forward with baited breath to both signings & departures - MoN & Keano aren’t the types to play poker with. RE: Signings - Mcforest - 16-06-2019 I don't think we will be after top calibre players or wow signings this year. I actually think we after players who are deemed more a risk, less know to fans and not ones to get over excited about. That is why deals are taking longer because it means a lot more scouting and reviewing of reports required to make sure they are right for the way MON wants us to play. RE: Signings - Alf - 18-06-2019 Think we're waiting on sales tbh. I dont think for one minute that we will be any competition for PL sides when it comes to attracting players, but there is no reason to think we cannot compete with clubs in our league. The fact that there has been more outgoing than incoming is no surprise; we have fringe players we need to move on; its certainly not the case that we need to sell before buying, unless EM is flat broke which he clearly is not. As for attracting wow signings; I dont think anyone expected Joe Lolley to be a wow signing when he joined. Well could be waiting a while then as we have quite a long list to shift Vellios Cummings Clough Grant Murphy Watson Bridcutt Arriyibi Yacob Hefele RE: Signings - Strawberry Avenger - 18-06-2019 I think Yacob and Bridcutt are good back up. But the rest could go. Crickey. 10 'fringe' players. Expect most of them to leave sold or loaned. And there's the potential movement of Os' and probably one or two more surprises. (Hope we keep Lolley and Car'. Someone might come in for Grabban. ...football is full of surprises.) SA. I'm intrigued to see what recruitment brings this time around under MoN and some of our new scouts. Aye. Need to have the same judgement and luck (making our own luck with good recruitment appropriate to the Championship) to squeeze out more 'Lolley' quality signings who will push Forest into the top 6 or even shoot for the autos. I think a push into the top 6 is the least we should be reaching for will be progress on 9th. Wanting to be getting promotion this time. SA. RE: Signings - ozzyten10 - 18-06-2019 All starting to fall into place. I fully expect vellios, gboly, grant, Murphy, Cummins, clough and bridcutt to follow soudani out the door. I can also see some more thought into the signings than previously RE: Signings - Jean_claude_killy - 18-06-2019 (18-06-2019, 06:24 PM)ozzyten10 Wrote: All starting to fall into place.
