Nottingham Forest - Luton Town (FA Cup) - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 08-01-2025 To be played on Saturday 11th January 2025. At the world famous City Ground in Nottingham. Kick off is at 3pm. There will be no predictions league for this match (PL only). COYR! RE: Nottingham Forest - Luton Town (FA Cup) - Paplane - 08-01-2025 Normally hate these games where a second string is fielded, but this time really looking forward to seeing the likes of Sosa, Jota and Taiwo getting a decent game. Maybe even Danillo? RE: Nottingham Forest - Luton Town (FA Cup) - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 08-01-2025 I would go with: Miguel Moreira, Boly, Omobamidele, Toffolo Yates, JWP Sosa, Gardner, Jota Awoniyi RE: Nottingham Forest - Luton Town (FA Cup) - Mist From The Trent - 08-01-2025 I think I would go with Miguel Moreira Boly Morato Moreno Yates JWP Jota Sosa Gardner Awoniyi RE: Nottingham Forest - Luton Town (FA Cup) - Salvatore Matrecano - 08-01-2025 I would probably do the same bearing in mind the importance of Tuesday (and the following Saturday) however Im detecting a fair bit of Premier League arrogance in our fanbase that our 2nd team above will “smash this tinpot Championship team”. A lot of the 11 above have played little first team football, if Luton do field a strong team too we could get done over, certainly if we approach it with the wrong attitude. I do reckon Nuno is very well aware of the same risk. Luton have lost 4 in a row and Rob Edwards seems on the brink of the sack, so presumably will see this as a last chance free hit type game and get his players fired up, that said they have just lost 4 in a row! Yeah there is always a massive drop off when you make 6+ changes, both due to fitness and lack of cohesion. I think I'd still gamble on it personally but it could be a tight game. To me it is not our second team but our first team squad players and there is no arrogance in my team selection at all. We need to be careful. Luton have had the most red cards in the Championship so far this season. They can be cloggers. Agree. Apart from Gardner and Miguel every one of that team has had some Premier League minutes this season. Yeah they've not played together but that's what training this week is for. I don't care if it's arrogance but if it's a choice between a shock FA Cup exit or an injury to one or more of our key players derailing an unbelievable opportunity to achieve something incredible in the league then I choose the FA Cup exit. RE: Nottingham Forest - Luton Town (FA Cup) - Simon - 08-01-2025 injury prevention is surely key for this game... Don't risk any of our key players. RE: Nottingham Forest - Luton Town (FA Cup) - Mist From The Trent - 08-01-2025 I wouldn't say it's premier league arrogance, just a fear of key players getting injured. The majority of those players gave Newcastle a good game in the League Cup. RE: Nottingham Forest - Luton Town (FA Cup) - Tricky - 08-01-2025 If we do go with hardly any regular 1st team players for this one, it doesnt mean we are weakening our side in any way. Those players that pull on the shirt on Saturday are going to want to impress Nuno and make a case for themselves to be in the 1st team regularly on merit.
