Sell Johnson or Danilo? - Sausage Roll - 17-08-2023
So it seems there's interest in both Brennan Johnson and Danilo now.
If we had to sell one this transfer window, at the prices doing the rounds (say, £45m for Johnson, £30m for Danilo) which would everyone rather sell?
For the purpose of this poll let's say straight cash deals only, no players from the buying clubs involved.

How much did we pay for Danilo, that article suggested there's a 20% sell on clause so we would barely even make a profit.

Danilo for 30m feels like we'd be selling way too early so would have to choose Brennan in that scenario

Issue here is selling our young talent and dismantling the future foundation of a good team. Trouble with Forest these days we tend to reinvest in over the hill shit players and that is why we spent 20 years plus in the lower divisions. We need a sustainable plan to grow the club and this should where possible EXCLUDE selling the prized assets.

Sorry but I think that Johnson is a great player but he’s much more of a top 6 player than the luxury player that he is for us. We have played well without BJ and I think Danilo could have a higher ceiling- particularly for us. Rather have both though

Has to be Johnson and now chelsea are in it’s going to happen and quickly.
Matseen 40M and madueke on loan would be perfect.
Cash allows us to meet ffp not sign Tavares use cash to up bid for CB mavropanos and Florintino/fofana .

I would sell neither, but if I had to sell one, it would be Danilo. He's unproven. Johnson is a guaranteed goal scorer for whoever he plays with. He'd probably score more with a different club that would play him more, put him into a wider position on the pitch, and get the ball to him more often, so he might be worth more to another club than to us.
While I understand that even the money of billionaires is not unlimited, as a fan (and not a shareholder) I really only care about the quality of the team on the field. Selling either one of these players is a significant loss of on-field talent.

Have to disagree im afraid, If we could get Matseen and 50M from Chelsea for Johnson it would be Brilliant , allows us FFP wiggle room in this year accounts , we can split fees for signings over 5 years liked chelsea have done
