Hughton poll: Match day 5 - stirred - 29-08-2021

The international break is here. Hughton - should he stay or should he go?

RE: Hughton poll: Match day 5 - ozzyten10 - 29-08-2021

We have to do the long term one day and we’d rather do it with someone who has done it before…

RE: Hughton poll: Match day 5 - Mcforest - 29-08-2021

I'm sticking with stay for the time being. I'm going to assume all the issues we see he does as well and instead of not having patterns of play, or practice our passing at training it is our players are actually s@#t and that's why we are where we are. Plus if he goes I think we could end with wilder and that won't end well for either party.

Go.

Now is the best possible time to do it too.

Could write paragraphs on why, but it's not needed. Enough is enough. Time to properly move into the modern era.

Out I want to see some actual football where we think about what were doing to hurt the opposition not preventing them from chances and defending for large parts of games.

RE: Hughton poll: Match day 5 - Paplane - 29-08-2021

Stay, even more so if the replacement is Wilder.

RE: Hughton poll: Match day 5 - Alf - 29-08-2021

Depends who the replacement is, but if the links to Wilder are true I don't think we can afford to miss that opportunity.

Even if Hughton had never been here and came to us with the record which he has, it doesn't touch Wilder's leap from League 1 to the Prem in 4 seasons. There's a whole host of positives which come with Wilder too, the main one being that he instilled a real identity at Sheff U and we are desperate for that here.

Out. For a full season we have been less than the sum of our parts . That is not going to change. The squad is not amongst the worst half dozen in the championship but bottom six is where we have persistently been during his tenure.

Chris made a change against Derby, an interesting change, it probably propelled us on for a goal and our first point this season

45 plus games though, too little too late? yep

The only other thought for today is looking at the PL with 100's of $millions worth of attacking talent, the amount of low scoring games, and also the cheating is rife really, i noticed in our game but players cheating, fouling and hurting opponents but they go down and roll around more than the genuinely injured players

Basically alot seems wrong with the game and maybe i am taking it out unjustly on Hughton, many managers seem to have no interest in providing goals and awesome displays of attacking intent, maybe they are all CH's?

An easy solution would be to give 4 points for a win, 2 for a score draw, 1 for a goaless draw that might end Hughtonism instantly, also harsher treatment of cheats, maybe more yellow offences or sinbin, but as it is negative approach and cheating reign supreme at the moment

Wilder's record at Sheff U is extremely impressive but as we have found out, replicating those achievements at differant clubs, bar Cloughie, are very rare, will he have the required love and passion and dedication here?
