RE: Your Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager - optimistic_red - 28-09-2022
EM must have a date in mind whereby if Cooper hasn't signed contract he goes.
Question we fans need answering is why is he not signing?
I'd love for Cooper still to be in charge next season, whatever league, however we can not get relegated and then he decides to leave.

Cooper will be here next season come what may I have no doubts

I don’t see how that would be possible
Isn’t it a twelve month rolling contract?
No
It runs out in the summer
That wasn’t my understanding but I’m sure you’re correct

I don't buy that one nor do I buy all the fist pumping etc but that is just how I am.
If we get mullered on Monday I believe our search will intensify somewhat.
If you were a betting man Sniff, will Cooper still be in charge when we break for the World Cup in 8 games time.
No depending on results etc !
Just a gut feel
That is a really difficult one to answer Reds73 because part of it does depend on results. If we lose on Monday i can't guarantee that Steve will be in charge when we play Villa but a win will guarantee that he is still in charge.
If you put a gun to my head and said I must answer yes or no then I would answer no but a string of good results will always buy more time.

Let's not forget Cooper gave the he loves Swansea, the city, the fans, all that jazz.. only for him to terminate his contract mutually 2 months later

Yes and the fist pumps. Like I said the other day I don't fall for all that stuff. Karanka was the same although he did it via twitter (actually he employed someone to do it for him).
Actually I think there is a touch of the Karanka's about Cooper personally.

What's all this anti Cooper stuff? I know he's not signed a contract but there could be any number of reasons for this, like there may not actually be a contract offer on the table for him to sign at this moment. For example, there's a credible theory that Cooper wanted a long term deal and the club felt they needed to see how well he operated in the prem before committing to this. You don't offer a big contract to someone who you expect to be sacking in the near future do you?

What’s anti Cooper?

I only see healthy debate I don't see anything anti against anyone.

I've been away for a few days and catching up this morning there just seems to be a lot of negativity around the manager's position, that's all.

No worries Pap. Unfortunately with the coach not committing to signing a new contract it's inevitable.

How do you know he's not committing? He might be desperate to sign on the dotted line.
