RE: Current Players Thread - stirred - 04-01-2025

I look forward to getting another look at our Brazilian goalkeeper in the FA Cup. I’ve no idea if he’s no 1 potential or not, if he is that’s a position we won’t need to spend on in the summer, else I guess we revisit the Kelleher situation.

Sky Sports reporting we're in discussions with Murillo over an improved contract.

That’s good but won’t read much into it other than if he signs it will mean we have more to negotiate with in the summer, possibly a release clause in there too. Imagine Wolves are doing much the same with Cunha.

Perhaps a release clause if we don't qualify for Europe.

As long as the number is high enough to reflect his value (80m?), then makes sense to me.

Liverpool play one more game (effectively) before coming to the city ground next week. What kinda team does slot use for the semis of the league cup (too late in the tourni to rest key players especially when you can for the FA Cup) they’ll only be missing Gomez and Nunez. Do you reckon that we don’t rest a lot for Luton?

RE: Current Players Thread - Chicago - 07-01-2025

I want us to play the back ups in the cup. Give run outs to Miquel, Danilo (if he is ready), JWP. Taiwo for confidence. Moreno (or Toffs). Morieno. The two wingers Jota and Silva. Maybe Yates to keep everyone together.

Save our first team for LIverscum. We don't want any injuries going into that game.

Chicago: Seeing what we've got.

Aina will be here next year. Has a option for another year what we will activate.

Murillo will sign his deal in the coming days..

I’m sure I said that about Aina a few pages back and got shot down…

I thought this year was the option. He signed a 1 year deal with an option to extend by an additional year.

I thought that too. Am sure that's the case.

Are you playing Jota & Silva on the same side of the pitch? Could get messy if you put them on opposite sides.

RE: Current Players Thread - Trailer Park Tom - 07-01-2025

Get them signed up (Wood included for 2 years). It's a great time to be offering contracts because we are flying high and people want to commit although it might be more expensive due to to performance levels.

I'm hoping our fringe and rotation players are chomping at the bit ready to prove they can meet the standards of those currently ahead of them for the Luton game.
