I wonder why this has been rushed through? Would it be the fact that 10 clubs are due to fail once the covid losses are off the books?
Couldn’t write it could you. We get done whilst all other established clubs get away with changed rules. This stinks.

We would be able to spend 85% of revenue on Wages and Transfers - This would definitely benefit the Big 6.

Absolutely.

I think a fair way is a consistent cap on wages and transfers but it would never happened because of agents and sky ect.

Most likely, we were able to write off 5m in Covid losses in championship, PL clubs were allowed to claim 100m plus with no limit whatsoever.

Rumours that the Big 6 are back in talks for the super league, get them gone now.

Don't blame them. Can't believe this new ruling has been voted through...100% agree with what Neville said on the recent overlap, been saying the same myself for ages

RE: The Premier League 2023/24 - Salvatore Matrecano - 11-03-2024

This is clearly the excuse for all charges against Man City and Chelsea to be dropped as the rule is no longer in place. But we get done this year and no-one else gives a shit.

Can't recall where I saw it but apparently both clubs will (eventually) be charged under the current legislation.

Everyone should be allowed to spend the same amount and should be based on highest revenue club. One bit he added that I liked is clubs with smaller revenue only so much is club debt, the rest is owners money.

When questioned in front of the select committee about future changes to FFP, Richard Masters said categorically the current P&S rules would still be in place next season (at least).
I’ve posted the link on here before.

The devil would be in the detail, but the principal of being able to spend the same amount sounds appealing in a way, isn't that what they do in F1?

That definitely sounds fairer than what they have voted through. Would still stop a Newcastle overspending too.

It's pretty similar to how the salary cap works in the NFL.
