Happy with that, don't think it's any coincidence that we looked more at it with a proper captain & defender back in the side in Worrall.

Hopefully that result will calm down some of the rage on social media at those up in arms at the mo.

Something to build on that...

RE: Nottingham Forest - Watford - zicorice - 02-12-2020

For me, we have stopped the rot and taken a point off a very decent side. Albeit Watford were miles off the pace tonight. Hopefully, Cafu can build on this, rather than do the usual Oly rejects thing and show promise early, before disappearing. He looks very athletic though, so fingers crossed.

Loved Worrall telling Arter and co to get on with it after they were crying at the ref after Chabolahs 28th foul. Ref was crap for both teams, but no excuse for their conduct. Suspect a fine will follow. Arter has 2 yellows recently for gobbling off. No wonder grass roots is struggling for refs.

Clean sheet not to be sniffed at. Worrall and McKenna could be the dream team. Final 3rd delivery was awful though. The best cross of the game was by Taylor...if he had been on the end of it instead of putting it in...sods law.

Onwards and upwards....13 points off the play offs....

The concern is Knockaert, 9 games now in a red shirt now and he doesn’t look like recovering his form of a couple of years ago. At times today he was a liability defensively, really leaving Christie exposed, his work rate has been poor and his body language is often negative, waving his arms around like a petulant child.

Please give Mighten a chance.

25 games now without an assist. It's got to come soon, sheer weight of the law of averages says keep him there..surely......

For that one assist!?!

Not sure when his loan is up but I would imagine, unless there is a marked and immediate change, then we should be planning without him.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Watford - Tricky - 02-12-2020

We seem to be improving week on week now. Our last few games we have played better in fits and starts. Tonight though we played much better for almost all of the game.

Great to see Worrall doing what he does best. In fact all of our defence tonight had a very good game.

Cafu could be a very good partner for Taylor or Grabban as he has got a very good vision and runs off the ball well. He also possesses a bit of skill when he's on the ball. Was that his debut BTW?

Yates had a good solid game too tonight. Arter was an improvement but he is very much hit and miss.

What I did notice though was we closed them down very quickly and did a good high press on them, which probably caught them off guard a little bit.

We just need to start finding the target now and I feel we could turn the corner and start to climb the league a little bit. Mid table for me now, I just can't see us challenging for the top 6

Not with big Joe back in the side. How badly we have missed him. Immense.

Now get Mckenna back and we can start attacking

Steady on youth....attacking?

Seriously though, haven't been this expectant about seeing two centre backs playing together since Fairclough came back from a broken leg and was ready to play alongside the recently emerged Des Walker.......didn't quite turn out the way I'd hoped that. Worrall and McKenna though...certainty to succeed isn't it?

Not sure I agree with the work rate part, I've been impressed how much he gets about the pitch actually. Still looks our most dangerous player (not saying much though)

Solid cameo from ameobi when he mis-kicked the ball out of play

If I could be arsed I’d produce a short video of moments where he just stood there with the ball less than ten yards from him. He can afford to do that when he’s producing at the other end of the pitch but he isn’t.

McKenna for who?
Both Figs and Worrall very good tonight.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Watford - Username - 02-12-2020

Cafu was ok but let’s not go over the top just yet.

Semedo started similarly and they are very similar players.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Watford - Salvatore Matrecano - 02-12-2020

Agree Cafu did pretty well but at times was slow to react and wanted too long on the ball in forward positions. I think we will always struggle to create chances if he is played in that forward mid position. Would give him a chance ahead of Arter though.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Watford - ozzyten10 - 02-12-2020

I think Cafu as CM with arter or Yates will work in a 442. I wouldn’t mind a return to the diamond either...not as if our wingers are tearing it up...

Samba Sow would be useful too, maybe Freeman could play that role?
