We now have a video of Danilo - thought he looked decent and will only get better. 30 sec into the video where he went between 2 players and passed down the wing was excellent.

Disappointing that. Why freuler didn’t get closer and take one for the team on Rashford is beyond me. The Ricochet is jammy. They’re second goal - jammy and would like to see an angle on that for offside too. I shouted jammy bastards at their bench and their coach smiled and nodded in agreement.

Second half though their class showed.

We were far too open for a two legged game - we played more like a single cup tie.

Some over reactions I’m reading elsewhere. Hope MGW is OK

I feel with rashfords goal, in that situation if yates was playing he protects Joe 100% not sure who’s job that was tonight. But also cmonnn Hennessy he shouldn’t have been able to squeeze it into that space!

Worrall getting turn by rashford though, when he turned back and looked where he thought rashford was gonna be, he was already a foot in front of that space. Do they no do drills of it for him in training?

I'm a bit surprised nobody has picked up on the fact that Aurier left the right back position totally exposed for Rashfords goal. Rashford took the ball off him and instead of racing back to support his defence, he slowly trotted back. He left the right exposed a number of times through pushing up too much and not getting back quick enough. I was a bit surprised when Lodi was replaced and not Aurier TBH as I thought Lodi had a decent game

I suspect Joe was expecting Rashford to turn the ball onto his favoured right foot but instead poked it home with his left.

I hate to say it because I love the man but Worrall is looking very shaky now. Add in his lack of pace and you're looking at a marginal prem defender.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Manchester United - Paplane - 26-01-2023

What the hell has happened to Aurier these last two games? He gone from being solid as a rock to a bit dodgy.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Manchester United - Paplane - 26-01-2023

For the first time last night I thought the injuries we're suffering really restricts us. Yates energy was missing, Boly's stature at the back too gone. Awoniyi will have ruffled a few feathers im sure and Hendo might have done better with 2 of the goals. These next few weeks might be a bit of a slog now. I can see us struggling a bit.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Manchester United - Paplane - 26-01-2023

Despite our inadequacies, Man Utd were different gravy though. They way they could play out of the press, the way they were able to find a pass when challenged, their movement and their ability to finish were excellent. Probbably the best 11 to come to Nottingham for 20 odd years I'd say.

I am still fuming about that.

Not the decision because it was correct.

I am fuming with Surridge because he didn't need to do that, all he had to do was check his run for a second, absolute schoolboy stuff.

It happens sniff. Strikers are told to play on the shoulder of the defender. If the defender's stride pattern had been different he'd  be onside and we'd be lauding Surridge for an excellent goal.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Manchester United - Redreg - 26-01-2023

Man u we’re quality, missed yates and hendo need another keeper. Serge was Awful left Wozza out to Dry against the best LW in the league currently (would take Spence in a heartbeat) . Mckenna did ok against the big lad but Niakhate and Boly improved the defence. The Brazilians are going to be excellent for us . Scarpa better out wide and please let him have corners .Frueler had an off day Yates’y ahead of him currently. MGW best player i have seen since Stan . Johno iz nearly PL class will come (get your head up son ) surridge is a good bench option need better to compete at top . Subs championship level and sorry Jesse legs have gone not going to get over injuries this season thanks for everything but will be off in the summer .
Dennis marginally better than Diakahby .

It was shit from Surridge he had so much time and it's totally unacceptable.

Also what the fuck were Worrall and Freuler doing for that first goal?

Dearie me, just commit a soft foul and halt play, once again school boy stuff.

Steve must he pulling his hair out this morning. Those 2 incidents decided the game and they both could have been completely avoided.
