That Murphy has been massively undermined, he was already pissed off at the meddling before last night, only got one of the targets he'd identified and that none of the ones we signed were his first or even second choice targets. He's come in and immediately been shelved, just treated as a face to keep the supporters happy.
With respect Psycho that doesn't make a lot of sense.
How would immediately shelving Murphy keep supporters happy?
I would imagine that it would have the opposite effect.
Not saying that all is rosy in the kitchen but why would EM and the club shoot itself in the foot like that?

Hopefully, if true, he sees it as teething issues/handover and they can spend the next few months getting the longer term plan in place and allowing him more freedom.

Fair point, if there was anything that would turn supporters against them at this point it would be DM walking. You'd assume the club wouldn't want this to happen.
As I said, IF there was any truth in it, it was most likely transition/teething issues and they can work on that in the next few months.

I've read every comment this morning, alot to talk about, what we've acquired hasn't quite settled in my mind as yet, but there are many potential positives, a RB/Winger, a very quick Forward, a Paraguyan offensive international as well as decent fella Sam who has stuff to prove at LB and I view Garner as more mundane than all those
This is a huge test for Hughton, he may just of woken up after having an early night and only just found out himself

Well like I say I believe what I've been told and it's not just from one person.
But I've said my piece now and thats all I wanted to do. Wouldn't have felt right not sharing it.

Re the buying of two RB's, am I missing something? Dont we need 2 what with the injury to Tutu? Made pefect sense to me and will allow Back another year to develop and maybe go out on loan in January or something.

Thank you for sharing PsychoStooge. As worrying as it sounds behind the scenes, I really appreciate your posts this morning.
There may be teething issues to the relationship & roles, but surely if he’s been shelved & undermined he’ll walk. Wouldn’t blame him. But it would look worse for the club than if he’d never come in the first place.
No PR spin would fix that. Surely the club realise that?

Perhaps so and maybe Tutu's injury is worse than feared, although we do still have Back and Richardson. So when Spence comes through the door we'll have 5 right backs and that's ignoring Jenkinson. As you say Back might go on loan in Jan but in that case why not wait until Jan to sign an extra RB? Did we need to sign 3 this window?

Lets see I will stay optimistic until I see something that is more than rumour. What is for certain is that Murphy is hugely ambitious, I thought listening to his interviews we were just a stepping stone for him. Nothing wrong in that but it does mean that it is all about improving his CV, to do that he needs to achieve something. If he feels he cannot achieve something here he will walk and walk quickly. Im sure we will find out soon enough which way he is leaning.

5 right backs, but two who are very inexperienced academy players, one who is a massive injury doubt and one who is discarded. Christie would have been better than all those options but that's another debate.
