RE: The Premier League 2022/23 - Ciscokid - 19-03-2023 We've not been right since Steven Reid left the coaching set up. How much influence he had on morale and the way we play we'll never know but he was highly regarded. Coincidence? RE: The Premier League 2022/23 - DR Forest - 19-03-2023 (19-03-2023, 05:56 PM)Salvatore Matrecano Wrote: Trying really hard to be positive….we are currently 1 point off 12th place with a game in hand. I feel exactly the same way…. But when I read this, the analogous image flashed into my mind of a bloke falling from the top of the building saying to himself ‘stay positive, I’m only a few feet beneath the twelfth floor’ as he hurtled to an inevitable conclusion. We need players back, and everyone to step up. Decent team performances and 5 points or more from the next 3 games is what is required. How much influence he had on morale and the way we I don't think it has anything to do with that to be honest. We've many reasons why it isn't plain sailing. 30 new players, mountain of injuries, dips in form, a manager finding his way in the biggest league in the world. RE: The Premier League 2022/23 - EricTheCat - 19-03-2023 How many games are Willian and Mitrovic going to be banned for? Next four Fulham games - Bournemouth, West Ham, Everton and Leeds. RE: The Premier League 2022/23 - Sausage Roll - 19-03-2023 Willian I would imagine only a one-match ban. Mitrovic could be anything. At least three matches surely. RE: The Premier League 2022/23 - DR Forest - 19-03-2023 I don’t like mitrovic but watched the clip and I really don’t think he did much tbh. Referee seems like another tosser who likes the spotlight. As regards the wider impact on forest this season- you couldn’t make it up that mitrovic does this just when Fulham are due to play our rivals. Mitrovic - could well get the book thrown at him and, I would be amazed if it was less than 5 games. Sorry but you can’t raise your hands a push a ref and not expect to face the consequences. He then went virtually nose to nose with him. Minimum of 5 games I reckon. Have to agree. OK it wasn't a hard shove on the ref but that's not the point, he shoved him. Then *after* he shoved him he was still in the ref's face gesticulating. Willian himself - having just been sent off - had to run over and try and pull Mitrovic away from the ref. The FA will come down hard on him just like they did when DeCanio pushed the ref over when playing for West Ham. They will be well aware of the damage that would be done to the game at all levels if they are seen to be lenient. At Amateur level the behaviour of players is a really difficult issue right now with assaults on refs becoming more common. This risks becoming worse still if the level of aggression displayed by Mitrovic is punished lightly. DeCanio I think got an 11 game ban, I expect this will be 7 or so. |
