I’m a forest fan not a cooper fan. However, it is totally understandable and PR articulated brilliantly. We were very poor last night and I hate the hoof to Jonno or no one that has been a constant issue in our away performances.
Cooper can’t say he hasn’t been backed but the scattergun approach of 30+ players has been ridiculous- some absolutely crippling us if we go down. If cooper is responsible for wood Shelvey and ayew then he dropped an almighty bollock there that will hamper us moving forward.
But being competitive in this league is no mean feat.

I love Cooper and he galvanised the club when we were at a real low. However, you see lower league teams take the game to Premier league opponents away from home more than we do. We are fighting for our lives and we didn't have a shot on target second half?
The subs looked all over the place, almost like they were thrown on in hope.
I'm still not sure if he should go or not, but if EM did pull the trigger, surely he would need someone lined up to come in. Reid and, or Tate taking over would be ridiculous.

No way would Reid or Tate take over they are part of the problem.
Totally inexperienced at the level we are playing at and they haven't improved a single player in my opinion.

I’ve been a supporter of cooper but the club comes first. Take away the knee jerk soundbites on Twitter and I think we are all on the same page about that at least.
But this is a real dilemma now; a dead-cat bounce in the last nine games probably would keep us up and we can then regroup quickly in the summer. Yet if we get relegated we lose many of our better players- hendo Navas aurier lodi all gone before we even speak to the others and Johnson will be cashed in to subsidise the attempted return. It’s an incredibly big and tough decision.
The single reason to sack cooper is to save us from relegation.
However, the balance is-
He needs and has earned time to learn
Who is going to replace him that can improve us?
Are we looking for a 9 game warnock type interim whilst we find someone new for next season?
There’s no guarantee any new manager will do any better
What other players do we risk losing if cooper goes? Would we be rebuilding a whole new team for a second year but this time in the championship.
But most importantly EM risks a fan backlash and the possibility of losing what unity we have gained- the club could implode and the longer term affects more damaging than relegation itself.
The bigger picture is that club has been crying out for stability for 25 years and finally we have some.
So, is it a case of taking stock, keeping faith and one step back to take two forward, or is it the case the club is on a slippery slope under cooper and needs a better all round coach whilst we have a year’s bounce-back money?
That’s a hell of a tough call now!

If we go down, next year will not be easy. Lose our best players and be stuck with some very expensive old players at the end of their careers…. Sounds very familiar to me.
Cooper is to blame for these signings and he is to blame for the away form. Last night the players were poor and a manager can blame the players for an occasional poor performance. But every away game? No that’s on cooper. Even the home form over the last 2 months has been poor. We look like a relegated side with nothing to play for.
Having slept on it I think EM should act now. As Sniff said… it’s his money and the amount he will lose if relegated is frightening especially with no guarantee of coming straight back up.

One thing iv learned from twitter, is he's immune to everything. He should stay, evangelos will not be bothered about the 300m TV money as we get 90m in parachute payments. Indeed. I've seen a few fans tweeting saying that Cooper *is* Nottingham Forest. That's just daft. There was only one manager we've ever had who could come anywhere near to being known as *being* Nottingham Forest.
Agree its daft but that loyalty to Cooper misguided or not is the reason the owner should think twice if he is tempted to act now.
The chances of Viera, Marceliino or anyone else turning things around is miniscule, all he will achieve is a divided fanbase.
Best thing Em can do is have a quiet word with Steve and they agree he leaves by mutual consent in the summer. That is assuming he wants to make the change. If EM still wants him and Cooper agrees I would be delighted if he is given another chance next season.
I agree, once we put him on a long term contract we accepted that we may stay up or go down but the manager stays, for me.
Settle the squad and batter the championship.

You don’t know anything about the budget and we all know we will sell Johnson (at least) to balance the books further. many of the players like wood and shelvey would be great players in the championship; if they want to leave then I’ve no problem with that.
All players will surely have a salary adjustment clause so it’s not as bad as you might want to think

That's fair enough but think of that sentiment from the pov of someone like me, in my early 30s too young to remember Clough as manager. Forest had pretty much been dreadful my entire life until Cooper came along, so maybe you can forgive some people feeling that way, I don't want to go back to another 25/30 years of the Nottingham Forest we had before him.
