If he keeps up his form he might have more of a chance under Tuchel, for whom he played before.

Take the Forest hat off, CHO is not better than Foden or Gordon. He's doing well no doubt but lets not get carried away. (Grealish isn't really doing anything so I'll give you him!)
Now Yatesy on the other hand, not tons of competition in that area, I wonder how far away he is?

Again take your Forest hat off. If Yates was to get an England call up (unlikely tbh) he would get slaughtered for the same reasons he did on here by plenty people a few years back. He’s just a thug, can’t play football etc.
We love him because he is one of us and we all know what he brings to the team in terms of attitude and leadership. Those are 2 qualities not in such short supply for England. His best chance might be to suddenly find an Irish or Welsh relative.

I wasn't saying he should be called up, more just asking how far away people thought he was.
I do think you're underrating him still though. He's more than just attitude and leadership. Also I'd argue we really missed exactly that in the Euros.
I'm just really interested to see his ceiling, the team is so much better with him than without him.

I think If you want balance and structure in your side he isn't far away at all. I'd love to see him play against the Italians hahaha just what we need.

Yet in the view of many on this forum at the start of the season our best midfield combo was Sangare and Danilo. That apparently was the view of Nuno too.
I said at the time how long until Yatesy proved us all wrong. Not very long at all as it turns out and I personally think he offers 100x more than Sangare ever will. But it isn’t a cut and dried argument for Forest let alone England.
Thing is many have predicted he won’t get in our team every season for the last 6 years but he continues prove us wrong. England isnt impossible and I do think should he ever be called up he would rise to the occasion. Just he is some way off at the moment.

I'm not entirely sure how it's measured but there's a stat showing that Anthony Elanga carries the most 'attacking threat' in Europe's top leagues this season.
