i appreciate and enjoy the blocks, tackles and saves, and there were many

and yes, Cardiff put out the strongest team

we won which is the main thing and Derby lost, and totally outclassed by Chorley

it's a good day, just going ahead in the 3rd minute ... you start to think ... maybe this is the day

But doesnt he hold some kind of record for number of appearances for the stiffs in the old central league?

I was only half watching but I thought it was solid, wonder whether Bong might start more.

Cup run is possible this season, could keep getting friendly draws.

Bong looks better than Ribeiro based on Bongs performance today and Ribeiros performance at Preston last week.

We were clearly not watching the same game Sniff.

Best leave it at that.

Forest much more compact under Chris.

Worrall and McKenna.  Tasty.

So we didn't defend well, win our 50 50's, win our headers, get our blocks in? Like it or not, that is what wins football matches. We did the basics very very well today and we have a nice little unbeaten run going.

I know you are an half empty bloke TPL and I'm always half full so we'll leave it there.

Sniff is right.

We're doing the muck and nettles under Chris.  Another clean sheet.

SA.

With a mish mash side I thought there were some real positives.

The most obvious one is the CB pairing. Worrall was imperious and McKenna wasn't too shabby either. Neither full back was particularly good defensively and midfield was struggling, so these two got loads to do and they did it so well.

Other positives
Credit Bong for his good attacking play, including a superb assist. OK he cant defend properly but with those two CBs who cares!!

Taylor's finish.

Another clean sheet.

Run out for Smith. Hes ready if we need him.

The result. In the hat for Monday.

Also it showed why certain players normally start: Christie, Sow and Yates in particular  (maybe Colback too if he was fit).

I'd start Taylor and have Grabbs up my sleeve for last 20 or 30 next week.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Cardiff City - wassy04 - 09-01-2021

I don't really care too much if the football is awful if it means we actually started winning regularly. It's pretty boring being in the midtable of the same league for 15 odd years.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Cardiff City - Strawberry Avenger - 09-01-2021

If we bring some more creative players this month to rebalance the squad.

Then I'm sure Chris will add this attacking talent to progress the team beyond just being solid and workman like.

Same, I think he's still the better finisher. Even if Grabban is better off the ball.
