Again that statement, haven’t heard it but if thats all he said, massively underestimates Woods potential. So basically Howe is saying all he is good for is holding the ball up for a team fighting relegation. Think we have learned there is far more potential to his game if used correctly.

A few similarities with Peter Crouch who everyone assumed the only purpose of him was to get his head on a few corners. Then he got a move to Liverpool and suddenly he’s an international and dating a supermodel.

Our Chris has done alright for himself.

Best goal he ever scored.

I am sure he would agree.

RE: Chris Wood - Salvatore Matrecano - 21-02-2025

Well she definitely looks a better bet than Vardy’s Mrs that’s for sure

RE: Chris Wood - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 21-02-2025

The fact that Vardy looks like Steptoe doesn't help.

Our Chris though is a fine looking young man.

RE: Chris Wood - Sausage Roll - 21-02-2025

I always liked the Peter Crouch answer to the question "What would you be if you weren't a footballer?"

Crouch: "A virgin."

RE: Chris Wood - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 21-02-2025

Yes that was a classic from Crouchy.

As perfectly timed as one of his towering headers, Chrissy’s Mrs has given birth to a baby girl. Presumably means he is good for the weekend and wants to celebrate in style.
Congratulations to them both.

Bet he has already decided on his goal celebration for Sunday.

Congratulations to the Wood family. Excellent news all round, I can safely restore him to my fantasy team too.
