Jesus Christ we didn’t lose, had a lot of forced changes and bought on a proven goal scorer, the equaliser was not on nuno. f**k off with that attitude it f*****g stinks RE: Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth - Forest1970 - 17-08-2024 (17-08-2024, 05:55 PM)Jimmygordon Wrote: Nuno is not the answer. Wingers came iff because Elanga took a knock to the face and CHO looked shattered as did Wood. Not quite sure what Nuno was supposed to do. And to be fair he put attacking options on with Awoniyi, Anderson and Dominguez. Had Boly, Yates and Awoniyi not hit their efforts straight at the keeper then we’d have won easily. RE: Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth - Fumanchew - 17-08-2024 Stats say we were pretty even, I’m quite happy that there was only 2 goals in the game this time around RE: Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth - Salvatore Matrecano - 17-08-2024 First off best wishes to Danilo. Overall we played last season’s team, we looked like last seasons team. Except Murillo who needs to wake up and preferably start playing like last seasons Murillo. Decent first half. Drop off second half was alarming against a team there for the taking. Looked toothless at the end, lack of forward options currently available? Not buying the Sangare love in. He was OK but he needs a rocket up him at times, he is painfully slow on the ball. Yates did well. Dominguez totally anonymous. Anderson is not a left winger. Need a new CF for me, controversial opinion wouldn’t be unhappy if Taiwo goes. Might have to spend a bit on another CM too now. GK, Sels doesn’t fill me with confidence at all, just stuck on his line, never commands the area. Sorry to be negative, pissed off at 2 points dropped. Well deserved their goal regardless of the ones we missed. RE: Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth - wassy04 - 17-08-2024 (17-08-2024, 06:22 PM)Salvatore Matrecano Wrote: First off best wishes to Danilo. Yep if people were doubting why we are predicted to be relegation battlers then it might be clearer now. Anderson was worse than I was hoping for, need Sosa to be good. Danilo injury pretty upsetting, really gutted for him. Get well soon. Just don't like look we're a team capable of beating teams by more than one goal right now. With the Danilo injury, is this the time to switch to wingbacks? I am glad I am not the only one with the same opinions of Sangare and Dominguez Sal. I didnt rate Dominguez last season and I havent seen anything from pre-season or today to suggest my opinions were wrong about him. I agree also about Anderson. Would he be better suited on the right wing, with it being his natural side? My thoughts here are to drop Yatesy back into the DCM instead of Sangare and drop Anderson into the role Ryan played today as a more attacking midfielder. Awoniyi really does look like he has lost it so far. He is a fraction of the player we all loved the last two seasons. On this evidence, a new CF is an absolute must if we are to improve. With regards to the wings, obviously Elanga and CHO to start there, but if they have to be replaced, we do have Jota da Silva and Ramone Sosa here now. The only problem there is, they are going to need weeks to get up to speed with the demands and pace of this league. Cameo appearances off the bench to start with, as and when possible maybe. The question then is are they going to be an improvement for Elanga and CHO? We all thought Sangare was going to be the Billy Big Bollocks in our midfield last season, but so far he has proved to be a bit of a disappointment. However, today was the first proper full on match for the players (Both sides obviously), so it would be a bit premature to expect peak performances from the players, hence why today was a bit of an anti-climax to the season opener. Were the players told at half time that Danillo had broken his ankle? Did that have a bit of an effect on their second half performances? Who knows. Today was the first game of the season, there will still be rustiness in the legs and bodies of the players. Lets just hope the performances ramp up over the next few weeks and we see encouraging signs of improvement throughout the side. I remain cautiously hopeful RE: Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth - Red Dog - 17-08-2024 Reading the comments it is veey interesting. I thoughg we played well in the first half but should have had more than a one goal lead. CHO was good, Elanga off the pace. 2nd half we were somewhat lucky to get a point but i don't think Bournemouth did enough to win it. We started to drop back rather than holding a line. I'd heard Danillo had a bad ankle fracture but not sure. Thought we went too narrow by taking CHO and Elanga off. MGW was not really involved and Taiwo didn'g do much but didn't have the service as were sitting too deep. Around me Sangare was getting loads of stick - good in first half, tired in 2nd. RE: Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth - The reds - 17-08-2024 First half I thought we were decent dominated the game probably should’ve been 2-0 up at HT. Danilo’s injury is a disaster. - Hope he recovers well. 2nd Half - Aina and Elanga get injuries - 10 mins into the 2nd half, have to bring on some more forced subs. Yates, Boly, Awoniyi should’ve done better with their chances. Sangare looked good defensively - bit slow on the ball though. Just saw there goal back how lucky can you get really - blasted straight at Murillo and slotted home. I think the transfer list just grew a bit after this game. Pretty much agree with all of that, although I thought Sangare was decent apart from the odd pass. Definitely need an injection of quality at full back & in attack. Probably a midfielder as well if Danilo is out for 6+ months. |
