RE: Nottingham Forest - Huddersfield - zicorice - 31-12-2021 Stayed up till 1am watching it back when I got home. Positives - Absolutely battered them and should have won comfortably Negatives - Absolutely battered them and should have won comfortably A fair bit of doom mongering about, but none of the real chances fell to Grabbs. Boro was awful this wasn't. Annoyed we didn't win but no real finger pointing required unless its at the Uddersfield last ditch defending and keeper. We move on. RE: Nottingham Forest - Huddersfield - wassy04 - 31-12-2021 Completely outplayed a team sat in the playoffs, without a left back and unable to play our preferred formation due to injuries. Frustrating but happens, and more likely to happen against the top sides. Play like that vs Barnsley if on and win easily RE: Nottingham Forest - Huddersfield - ac_vodka - 31-12-2021 yep just one of those nights but fair plays to Huddlesfield - perfect away performance but also very lucky. RE: Nottingham Forest - Huddersfield - Salvatore Matrecano - 31-12-2021 Watched the Sky recording, couldn't be bothered with the analysis but was that Hefele in the studio looking tanned and comfortable on the £3M or so we paid him to sit on his arse for 4 years? He will have injured himself picking up a sandwich in the complementary buffet. Succinct nail gun speaks truth. It's not Doom and Gloom. It's about cosmic balance. And until Forest follow through on their succession planning, they have perhaps reached their glass ceiling as results against the top 6 have born out. SA. Yup. And it's entirely in line with where our recruitment development is. We're 1 window into a 3 to 4 window plan. Somebody is going to get battered. If Forest play again like they did vs Huddersfield who are the luckiest side in the top 6. 3 (sez Cooper) or 5 (sez me) or so quality signings in the right positions and we'll give someone the hot poker. Not many teams play like Forest did against Huddersfield with a missing LB, missing CM (Colback) and two wingers out injured. Just a couple of those goals go in and we go on to dry weave them. Huddersfield shouldn't have scored that goal. They'd been briefed and trained for that with Cooper rightly annoyed by the goal. Seemed soft to me. Beaten in CM. Beaten with the CH. Beaten the keeper at the near post. SA. RE: Nottingham Forest - Huddersfield - Strawberry Avenger - 31-12-2021 "We are trying to build a way of playing but we are also trying to build a winning mentality and a culture, and you only learn about that when you see players in all sorts of situations," he told BBC Radio Nottingham. "I've seen them have some highs but now we've had a couple of setbacks so it's going to be really interesting to see the lads and observe who really wants to be here and play at this club." "You look at the league table, yes, but I'm also interested in how we build the team, how we build the culture of the club, how we improve everything that needs improving on - which is a lot to be honest. "I just want the club to really grab hold of everything and be high-performing in every department - and there's a lot of work to do all over the club on that. "We would like to see some players come in, particularly as we've got injuries, but we are trying to build a team for now, but also for the future as well. "Players who come in will hopefully be able to have an impact in both of those two scenarios, that's what the plan is. If players are going to come in, the earlier the better because they can play games, commit to the training programme, just be a Forest player quickly." Interesting comments from Cooper. SA. |
