RE: Champions League - Europa League - Conference League - Sausage Roll - 09-06-2025 Link to the Sky Sports video. RE: Champions League - Europa League - Conference League - The reds - 09-06-2025 So the letter is just asking for clarification over whether Palace are in the Europa League or not. Nice to see us becoming the bad guys again over absolutely nothing. RE: Champions League - Europa League - Conference League - Sausage Roll - 09-06-2025 Hmm. Only source which has said that is one dodgy Twitter account which has been shown to be unreliable on several occasions. Seems a bit confusing why the deadline wouldn't be end of season? I'd be interested to know what Palace have gained from having the extra time without it in place. I’m sure I’ve read that you could get an extension. So it sounds like it’s not just missing March 1st deadline, which is how the media are spinning it as though there’s no way they could’ve prepared. I mean this as a genuine question, when did Palace take any action whatsoever over it? RE: Champions League - Europa League - Conference League - stirred - 09-06-2025 Bunch of news articles on April 30th saying Marinakis had completed his necessary actions re blind trust stuff. And quote from the Athletic “While Forest’s Champions League qualification is not yet confirmed, UEFA rules dictate that these changes had to happen before the end of the month.” If so then March 1st wasn’t some date that everything had to be done by. So what were Palace doing in that time? They knew they were in the semi final before the end of March. I get less and less sympathy for them as time goes on. RE: Champions League - Europa League - Conference League - Plymouth red - 09-06-2025 Who sends letters in this day and age? At least send a fax! RE: Champions League - Europa League - Conference League - JWJW - 10-06-2025 Palace broke the rules. EM is just asking if they are allowed to get away with it, then next year everyone knows there is no need to adhere to the rules anymore. Simple clarification. I am sure EM will also sue for costs involved in arranging the blind trust if Palace get away with it, as will everyone else who spent money on abiding with the rules. RE: Champions League - Europa League - Conference League - Salvatore Matrecano - 10-06-2025 Just as with PSR the rules are a pointless farce with clubs trying to get a workaround that lets them carry on doing what they were in the first place. Its meant to stop owners having a decisive influence over multiple clubs, if you suggest EM wouldn’t have retained a decisive influence by placing his shares in a blind trust then you are being pretty naive. Im surprised so many people are buying the narrative that Forest are taking the moral high ground and saying these (ridiculous) rules should be followed. If we have asked UEFA to clarify the rules then its pretty obvious what we are doing is finger pointing, its hardly subtle. Its yet another example of arrogant billionaires trying to get their own way in all things and backstabbing anyone who crosses their path. Football is a business, fine but it’s pretty hard to love sometimes. Yup. I hope Palace get Europa. RE: Champions League - Europa League - Conference League - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 10-06-2025 Forest enquired what needed to be done when faced with the possibility of both Forest and Olympiakos being in the same copmpetition. Then they were clearly told what they and every other club in the same position needed to do. We then went ahead and did it. So is it one rule for one and one rule for another or we all play by the same rules? That's how I see it too. There was nothing stopping Palace doing the same. Yeah the FA Cup was a few rounds from the final but so what? Be prepared. RE: Champions League - Europa League - Conference League - Salvatore Matrecano - 10-06-2025 No Sir, it wasn’t me Sir, i always follow the rules, I’m dead honest Sir! But Sir, Sir look over there! Look at Textor, Sir. Look at what he’s doing! Pathetic behaviour. |
