If Palace end up being kicked out so be it but it will be another example of big club bias. Reckon they would kick Man Utd out if they had won the FA cup? Me neither.

Also I sincerely hope we are not lobbying UEFA behind the scenes, that would be hugely distasteful and will come back to bite us.

And lastly from me, where was all this collective sympathy from other clubs when, a) we had the worst possible run of bad refereeeng decisions possible that cost us 9 to 12 points (imo), and b) when we got docked 4 points for selling a player a week late so as not to lose £20m quid? Answer, there wasn't any and if truth be told I bet the likes of Palace were loving it.

If Forest are loving the situation with the boot on the other foot thats fine. Where i have a problem was the Telegraph report which said “Forest believe the Europa place should be their’s”.
Forest should be making no comment whatsoever. It is none of our business unless UEFA make a decision and we certainly shouldn’t be trying to influence it. Im not sure of the Telegraph source or what we are doing but a dignified silence is definitely best.

To be fair Forest haven't commented at all - a reporter has.

Yep, this is the first reference I've seen reported as to how Forest are receiving the news of this possible sanction against Palace. I'm sure it's a throwaway comment by a reporter.

RE: Champions League - Europa League - Conference League - Sausage Roll - 09-06-2025

Also why wouldn't Forest believe they had a case in thinking the place should be theirs? Palace failed to adhere to a deadline which Forest themselves met.

I don't know all the intricacies of what UEFA will look at when making their decision (percentage of shares, voting rights etc.) but at face value I can absolutely see why Forest think they have a case.

Apparently swissramble on Twitter came up with this

RE: Champions League - Europa League - Conference League - Sausage Roll - 09-06-2025

Sky Sports just given another update on the Palace situation but no new info. Just restating that the UEFA department looking at it is hoping to reach a decision before the end of the month.

RE: Champions League - Europa League - Conference League - stirred - 09-06-2025

So I just looked at the Fa Cup dates. Feb 8th weekend was the 4th round, after which they know they are home to Millwall on March 1st for a place in the quarter final.

And after March 1st round they know they are in the last 8 with only 1 one of the big 6 remaining.

The excuses don’t wash.

RE: Champions League - Europa League - Conference League - Sausage Roll - 09-06-2025

Apparently we've written to UEFA raising our concerns about Palace's participation. Can't imagine that's a popular move amongst other clubs. But also can't imagine they wouldn't do the same in our position.

The article also says that Lyon had previously been banned from European competition but then reinstated, so that further complicates things.

The Times have said that we’re willing to take the Palace case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport if Palace are allowed in. This won’t get sorted quickly. Marinakis is going to quickly burn some bridges with his new friend Textor

Are the Botafogo deals all sorted yet?

I'm sure Textor would do the same if the roles were reversed.
