RE: Stevie Cooper - wassy04 - 27-03-2023 (27-03-2023, 04:06 PM)JWJW Wrote: How many full 90 minutes has Scarpa had ? He has played for other teams you realise? It's not that difficult to work out his best position and how that would relate to our system. RE: Stevie Cooper - wassy04 - 27-03-2023 (27-03-2023, 04:37 PM)Sniffer Dog (Admin) Wrote: Cooper has played both Scarpa and MGW in the same team. Leicester at home was one of them when we played really well (it was probably the last time) so they can play in the same team. MGW was pushed out wide, Scarpa was then subbed early in the second half... We haven't seen a performance like that since. RE: Stevie Cooper - nffc93 - 31-03-2023 As per the Telegraph. If we lose to Wolves tomorrow Coopers job is seriously under threat. RE: Stevie Cooper - HebdenRed - 31-03-2023 Can’t imagine the news story leaked tonight will fire us up. Will only make us more nervous IMHO. Bad time to splash something like this. Unless it’s done in anticipation of the next 3 games results. RE: Stevie Cooper - Madforit - 31-03-2023 Well he best start earning his money with a win tomorrow. RE: Stevie Cooper - northeastred - 31-03-2023 Felt at the beginning of the break it had a hughtonesque feel to it. We had a break and he got the next game.. then got the sack.. very bad timing to release that story.. cooper did looked shattered in his pressed yesterday. Deflated a little RE: Stevie Cooper - Jacksbadhobbits - 31-03-2023 (31-03-2023, 08:34 PM)northeastred Wrote: Felt at the beginning of the break it had a hughtonesque feel to it. Deflated a little Who comes in and gives us a better chance of staying up. We have already got one of the best managers in the league. Sacking Cooper now would be the height of stupidity. RE: Stevie Cooper - wassy04 - 31-03-2023 I just read an article on the Post of all places, literally 99% of the comments were pro Cooper. I've never seen unity like it for a manager in my lifetime certainly. I'm not sure who's peddling these stories, whether the club are genuinely feeding them or not but I hope they aren't and there's no truth in it. RE: Stevie Cooper - zicorice - 01-04-2023 I want Cooper to stay no matter what. Can't see anyone else doing a better job and we know he will have learnt alot as he is that type of person. We have the nucleus of an alright Premier league side and a few (NOT 30) key signings could establish us moving forward, so long as we finish 17th-or above. A centre back like Boly-but who isn't injured half the time, a centre forward who can actually hold the ball up turn and run at defences, plus score a few and an improved and settled into the Premier league Scarpa and Danilo and we will be a much better side. Cooper is the only man for the job for me. Not blind faith, just based on 2 years of watching us develop and Cooper develop too. We have been in a rut, but much of that gas been down to injuries forcing even more chopping and changing. RE: Stevie Cooper - optimistic_red - 01-04-2023 Sacking Cooper, and then going down is likely going to put us back years and make next year harder to bounce back. There is no guarentees replacing Cooper improves things its a massive risk. I want Cooper to stay. Doesnt mean i always agree with his team selectons or subs. We really need a good result or two to calm things down. RE: Stevie Cooper - zicorice - 01-04-2023 Positivity Positivity Positivity It's what we need now and for next 11 games. It's not happy clapping it's what we need. It's been present at most home games and made us competitive. Two choices. Positivity or negativity. |
