Not sure that Cooper would have picked Dennis in his 25 man squad in January if he didn't want him here.

So you think he'd just have discarded on of our only available wingers just to make a point? I think he's a bit more professional than that.

Well what Cooper and Giraldi should have done is signed a winger in January. Only they know why they didn't. They signed Wood and Shelvey instead.

Not disagreeing with you there!

To many fingers in the pie! Need a joined up thinking on future transfer strategy at the club.

In the summer, definitely it’s pretty clear there were too many people pulling in different directions.

Not sure you can lay that blame in January unless things go on behind the scenes that are less obvious now. But I assume its now down to Giraldi and Cooper.

The Brazilians will be down to giraldi, he loves them, can imagine we see a few more in the summer

Agreed

Problem is Im not sure Scarpa will ever fit in Cooper’s system. As for Danilo I hope he becomes a superstar for us one day but it was somewhat naive to spend so much money on a raw kid who was never likely to have a major impact this season.

Just shows that joined up thinking can still be a problem even with just 2 people involved.

Loads of teams spend mega bucks on top talent these days, if we go down then he will be more than happy to stay as well, unlike some of the other signings, I like Scarpa, offered more than lingard has. Deserves to play more. But that's for a different thread

Similar to Lingard, I think he's just best suited to play that role that MGW plays right now.

I think MGW would likely stay in the championship so he's probabaly still be the backup!

RE: Stevie Cooper - JWJW - 27-03-2023

How many full 90 minutes has Scarpa had ?

Poor lad has played less than 200 minutes of football and already people are knowing whats best for him..........

Let the lad play some games and lets see how he gets on.

RE: Stevie Cooper - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 27-03-2023

Cooper has played both Scarpa and MGW in the same team. Leicester at home was one of them when we played really well (it was probably the last time) so they can play in the same team.

I too want to see more of Scarpa.
