RE: Potential New CEO? - northeastred - 15-06-2021 Hughton likes to pick his own players tho, has done everywherep he has been, was one of the reasons he got the bullet at brighton, bad recruitment, he wont like been told who to sign surely? This recruitment set up is spot on for a head coach, je scouted the last 2 managers to play the way he wanted barnsley to play, whats to say he wont want ismael here?. Its all very intriguing and exciting RE: Potential New CEO? - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 15-06-2021 Just a reminder that Murphy is not here yet. He resigns , and then takes a new job offer RE: Potential New CEO? - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 15-06-2021 (15-06-2021, 03:42 PM)Reds73 Wrote:(15-06-2021, 02:06 PM)Sniffer Dog Wrote: We have NOT made an official approach for Dane Murphy YET. Perhaps that's what will happen Reds but if it doesn't then we will have to make an approach if we want him. All I know is that we have made no official approach at the time of writing this. I don't know whether Murphy is prepared to resign or not. I think we've all got to be cautious about this appointment because lets face it we'd never heard of the guy till last week and lets be honest, what the hell do we all know about what it takes to successfully run a football club? And on that basis, I personally don't feel qualified to argue that Vrentzos still having some involvement is a bad thing, or a good thing. Surely he has to give the club notice Widdow? Then we would have to pay compensation or something? I'm not sure how it works in football. It seems they have their own set of rules and laws compared with the rest of the country  RE: Potential New CEO? - Jean_claude_killy - 15-06-2021 (15-06-2021, 07:26 PM)Tricky Wrote:(15-06-2021, 05:48 PM)Widdow Wrote:(15-06-2021, 03:42 PM)Reds73 Wrote:(15-06-2021, 02:06 PM)Sniffer Dog Wrote: We have NOT made an official approach for Dane Murphy YET. As a CEO, he will have a bespoke contract which will include his performance related incentives, and his terms of notice. CEO's usually have something like a 6 month notice period drawn into their contract. In most business sectors a CEO will be put on gardening leave if the Company he is moving to is a direct competitor; I think someone mentioned this earlier in the thread. As Football is the business sector I would be surprised if a release fee is not in his contract; given that he has not yet been at the Club for two years, I would guess he is on his original contract so the release fee will be fairly modest. He may have signed a contract with a large notice period or a restriction on working for a rival after he leaves Barnsley. Things like that would be a point of negotiation. But if he intimates he wants to join a rival, he'll be stopped from working immediately otherwise there could potentially be all kinds of scullduggery going on. RE: Potential New CEO? - Reds73 - 15-06-2021 According to Danny Taylor and Paul Taylor he will be starting early July. No way would they have gone to press if this wasn’t happening RE: Potential New CEO? - northeastred - 16-06-2021 Where you seen that at reds? They have not tweeted about a start date, is it in the article? |
